US President, Barack Obama has praised President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat in Nigeria’s 2015 elections. Jonathan lost to All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari in the elections which held on March 28 and 29. “President Jonathan has placed his country’s interests first by conceding the election and congratulating president-elect (Muhammadu) Buhari on his victory,” Obama said in a White House statement released on Wednesday, April 1.Read more here |
