plz should all hondas here in naija be serviced at every 5,000km? my reason for asking is cause my mechanic says its only when the maintenance required light comes on the dashboard thats when i should service it. i use a honda accord(babyboy).

I also recommend you monitor the color and level of your engine oil , It will be of a great assistance to you, unknowingly the service sensor may deceive you when its faulty.

5 miles = 8 km

This is not always the case.

An average car cover about 5000km in about 3 months; maybe a good time to service.
However, with our road & climate conditions this may be reduced to a more frequent interval.

Your driving pattern may provide more insight on this.

The Recommended Maintenance Schedule for Honda Cars By Honda Place Of Nigeria is 5,000 Kilometres or 3 months, Whichever Comes First.

6000 miles is equal to 9656 kilometres.
