[b]Buruji Kashamu debunks rumour of defection to APC Kindly disregard the rumours of the purported plan of Senator-elect, Prince Buruji Kashamu, to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). It is the handiwork of members of the APC and some fifth columnists within the PDP. Their sole aim is to sow the seed of discord and cause confusion within the rank of the PDP, in the build up to the April 11, 2015 Govenorship and State Houses of Assembly elections. While we acknowledge that the current political realities call for introspection and realignment of forces, defection is the last thing on Prince Kashamu's mind. He is more concerned with how to reposition and rebuild the PDP towards responding to the present challenges and meeting future needs of the party. As one of the leaders of the PDP in Ogun State and the South West, he is fully aware of his responsibilities towards the PDP and its teeming members, leaders, elders and other stakeholders. His new position and status make it all the more imperative that he does not take any action without carrying them along. He is aware that a lot of party members and leaders look up to him for guidance and direction. He knows this and he will not let them down.
