Former Imo guvnor asks buhari to fufil his promises...can u guys imagine this man.

A pro-democracy group, the Igbo Conversational Group, has urged the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to fulfil promises he made to the Igbo people during his campaign.
The call is contained in a statement issued on Friday by the leader of the group, Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo State.
The statement quoted Mr. Ohakim as demanding the completion of ongoing developmental projects and establishment of new ones in the South East zone.
According to him, there is need to ensure the immediate take-off of the Aba Integrated Power Project to boost economic activities in the region.
He appealed to the incoming administration to review the 85 per cent of property belonging to Igbo but classified as abandoned property in Rivers 45 years ago.
He said “the Igbo want the incoming administration to look into this matter as top priority”.
The president of the group also urged Mr. Buhari to ensure the revitalisation of the proposed sea port in Osemoto in Imo.
He said “Osemoto and Oseakwa in Anambra have the deepest natural harbour in the country which will offer naval and marine transport platforms if developed.
“They will serve as strategic hub for oil and gas industry and inland dry docking to promote trade and create employment.
“Above all, it will open the igbo land to the sea.’’
Mr. Ohakim also called for the completion of the Otuocha-Mmiata-Kogi 150-kilometer road, as well as rehabilitation of all federal roads in the South East.
According to him, the road, when completed, will knock off three hours from every journey from the south east to Abuja.
He restated the need for the President-Elect to address issues of additional states in the South East, adding that “happily, it is one of the issues the President-Elect promised to look into
during his interaction with Ndi Igbo in Onitsha”.
He commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his patriotism in deepening democracy in the country, saying Nigerians would remember him for steadfastly upholding democratic ethics and allowing political space for every player.
“President Jonathan came to power when the nation was in a big quagmire.
“And it is to his credit that the country had a smooth transition following the sudden demise of his predecessor, late President Umaru Yar’ Adua.
“We salute him for his courage in conceding defeat and ask him to remain available for the country to tap from his experience.’’

Ohakim so u knw how to ask....did u fufil any of yours. you are a higly irresponsible man and most Igbos are ashamed of you. Go and ask anyone. You shouldnt be the one to talk for the Igbos. Very wrong

Hmmm

Off topic-
All this threads/topics about Igbos will not get this, Igbos lost out, Igbos will be marginalised, Igbos welcomes Buhari....
Na only them the Nigeria
Make una free dem na.....
The have the right to vote/support anybody, what's d fuss abt!!!!
NOBODY LOST OUT, DEMOCRACY PREVAILED!!!

Funny enough, other Zones/Tribes are showing more care, empathy nd sympathy to the Igbo Nation; on hw the will lose out in this coming Government (I think the r trying to mock nd mak caricature of the SE/SS)
Most Igbos I believe do not really care about the Government (I stand to be corrected)
I noticed many of them did not come out to even vote (in Imo, Abia, Ebonyi e.t.c over 1 million people in each of this States collected their PVC but less than 40% came out to vote)
I have been wondering what if atleast 80% of those that collected their PVC in the SE/SS came out to Vote (by Vote -I mean 4 PDP as usual cheesy)
We MAY be saying/hearing a different story now,
Hw some places have been burnt, nd State of Emergency in some States (let's be truthful and logicalgrin)......
Let sleeping dogs lie....

I Wish GMB the Best
God bless u Sir...

Concerned Democrat..!!

After the fall of Ohakim dynasty some years back, I never knew this tattler would run his mouth anyhow again. Seaport in Oseakwa? No, let it be in Okinawa. You should have known beforehand that consideration is the eldest, calculation the younger, while wisdom is the thirdborn. You people failed to realise this before going to polls.
