Hi. My sister has a severe case of fibroid and has been taking alternative medicine (Iris Foundation) but she complains of pain and after just one month of the treatment ( its meant to be a 3 months treatment) says she would rather have surgery than go through the pain again especially taking the cost of the treatment into consideration. Please can anyone who has had a succesful fibroid surgery in Nigeria recommend a hospital. Thanks

Its too bad that your sister has to go through such terrible ordeal. It is such a pain that people keep talking about fibroid and not knowing what to do with it. The problem most people fail to realize is that fibroid is the answer to a weeping womb. This is not a case of hospital my dear. even if Fibroid operation is carried out, there are 70% chances that another fibroid will re-grow. Beside we are talking of an operation that will cost up to 200,000 naira.
The actual course of fibroid is as a result of high level of cholesterol in the womb. I can show you how to solve your sister problem without collecting a dime from you. Have you heard of CLEAN 9 PACK, POMESTEEN POWER AND ALOE BERRY NECTAR?
These are some of the things she will need and u will never have to talk of fibroid operation again.
If you want to arrest this issue urgently email me at redemptionlight_revelation@yahoo.com and leave your cellphone number and i will give you a call. i will show you what to do were ever you are in the world.

I will be posting a lot on how we can manage and cure most ailment we never thought of soon. just watch out for these up coming posts

@Pharm Toki: My family has had unpleasant experiences with LUTH and so that is out of the picture, maybe you know of a gud private clinic with sucess in fibroid operations,

@SkULACHI: Thanks but all you have mentioned are components of alternative medicine. My sister because she is afraid of another operation after her experience with an appendicitis operation has tried so many products and didnt get any result, GNLD, Tasly, NONI and then Iris, so we are not looking for that.
Re: Please Can Anyone Recommend A Good Hospital For Fibroid Surgery In Naija by trimandtrendy(f): 12:30am On Jan 26, 2009
@poster, LUTH would have been the best, but since you don't want luth, i would reccomend st nicholas. They have well trained consultants there, and patient care is very good. the only prob i usually have with them is that they are quite expensive.

@skulachi, you are wicked
Re: Please Can Anyone Recommend A Good Hospital For Fibroid Surgery In Naija by skulachi(m): 2:39am On Jan 26, 2009
@trimntrendy
what is your definition of wicked You have made so much contributions in this forum i am pleased but to call me wicked for no just explanation is outrageous and unqualified!
What did i say wrong to warrant such statement? not that your statement has an effect on me but for a female as i counted on you to be profane is unexpected and unwarranted.
do u know the pains of fibroid? the rigors of operations and the harmful side effects of what these orthodox drugs can do to a persons life? if you have misunderstanding with some products i can understand your pains and disappointment. I too felt such anger and remorse, but no more with what i discovered. Take it easy on yourself we are all together in the boat of earth sailing through the ocean of time. grin

@Vie
I understand your plight and your sisters fears. I know what it means to count on products and it failed you
I came here with a mind of helping and not to make money. Can u fathom the rigors of an operation and fibroid for that matter. It is in the womb and and like i said it regrows as long as a person eating habits does not change. Let me make it clear to you that a womb that has a scar cannot welcome a baby.  I am not here to change your opinion. I have given my suggestion as a result case i have seen around me. Beside the products I recommended are good even if you believe me or not. I can give a guarantee for them if it is used for 3months. Money back guarantee if it does not work.

note: it is not compulsory u do what i am telling u because only u can make your choice and knows the suffering your sister suffers from. i feel for her. Good products are usually never recognized because the wrong ones has messed up the road. Only those who take the extra mile to really find out know the value of determination.
I wish you Good luck in whatever decision you finally conclude on. I rest my case. Its up to you all here.

I have wrongly stood aside when quacks show up on these medical threads and spew rubbish at unsuspecting, well intentioned people looking for medical help. You are at best semi-educated and at worst a charlatan. Fibroids have nothing to do with cholesterol. They are NOT the result of any nonsense weeping uterus. May God himself forgive but I spare you no such gift

@ poster
I am an ob/gyn based in NY. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the clinics in Nigeria but I think a teaching hospital is always a good way to go. Good luck

@ trimandtrendy,Kathyekiti and karmaMod : Thanks for your contributions, I will check out st. Nicholas. A friend also recommended Havanna. I know a teaching hospital would have been cheaper but when she had an appendicitis operation in LUTH, there was a complication and it scared us all and the patient care was awful, so i will rather she goes to a private clinic, besides at this point money is the last thing on my mind. She has not been able to lead a normal life for over a year now and i am really worried, so once again, thanks.

@Skulachi : Well, its a shame the bad ones has messed up the way for this particular cure of yours. Thanks for contributing all the same.

Vie, Pls don't take your sister to Havanna. You rather go to St. Nicholas or Life Gate at Retail Market, Ogba, Ikeja.  The owner of Life Gate was once working with Motayo Hospital, Ikeja as a Gyn. and all the time he was there, he never had any casualty in fibroid surgery.

I wish your sister all the best.

Do you have any good reason why Poster should not take his/her sister to Havana? I think you should simply give your own recommendation and allow poster to make his/her selection.

@Poster, you may also visit Humana Hospital, along the road beside Mr. Biggs, directly facing Cadbury at Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. The MD is a seasoned gynaecologist, and the hospital is equiped with sophisticated equipment. Moreover, the environment will make you want to be on admission there even if you're not sick grin.  Highly expensive depending on the fibroid size (I was charged with N250,000 for my own though I eventually didn't need to do  it but I'd have looked for the money to ensure I did it there).

Try and survey some of these suggested places before you decide. May God guide you wink.

@UTEH,
I undertand the the worries of you going through an operation. open surgery is not what we should pray to encounter.
you may not like what i say because my image has been tinted here but never the lest my advice is that you shouldn't as you do want a baby. if ever you want to arrest the fibroid issue i think you should try Forever living products. i can give u a 100% guarantee on these products working,  i have no fear or doubt. should you have a second thought and want to tryout these products for the fibroid let me know.
The choice is absolutely yours to make. Make whatever choice you want to now as it is not advisable to let that fibroid keep growing without you doing something about it on time.
I do pray you make a right choice and get that fibroid out of your system on time.Good luck

To me, surgery is very risky, expensive and the probability of curing the disease after done is 50%, From few reseach topics i read, i learned that surgery will only remove the large uterine fibroid but would fail to cure the tiny and unseen ones that will turns large in short time, Surgery only suspend the pain for the main time and failure to cure the causes will bring the disease back in a very short time (say 2-3 years after  surgery)

The only advice i can give to you ladies is to watch the kind of foods you take in, body cream you uses and other things. You can read more of these info at www.stopfibroid.com

I agree with skulachi. Surgery is quite risky but you can go ahead with it if you dont plan having babies in future.
I had mine removed in 2006 after my divorce. it was pretty small, the size of a lawn tennis ball. It was not giving me pain but just heavy periods and the doctor said removing it will reduce the bleeding. I had 2 kids from a previous marriage. Now am married again but ive been trying for over a year to get pregnant witout luck. And my fibroid has grown back in a recent scan i did early this year. I got intouch with the doc who performed the surgery and asked him a simple question of if a myomectomy can hinder conception and he said yes. It beats me cos my mum had all of us via ceacerian.

One thing am sure of is that there is a likelyness it will grow back again. If it affects conception or not, i dont know but i knw am unable to get pregnant even after every test shows am fine.

One credit i'll give my doctor is that he gave me a perfect cosmetic scar. Almost invisibly!!!!

Vie, i really do wish your sister the best.

And for the rest of us, lets try to work together to help each other.

Bless you all

@Jayjaygirl. I need to know, did the heavy periods stop after the fibroid surgery? If it stopped, did it return with the re-growing of the fibroid? How was your overall well being after the surgery? Marked improvement? Do you recommend surgery to another sister who is having heavy periods due to fibroid and who is through with childbearing? Was it a very scary experience, I mean the surgery?
Re: Please Can Anyone Recommend A Good Hospital For Fibroid Surgery In Naija by jayjaygirl(f): 4:18pm On Aug 11, 2010
Madam L,
my heavy bleeding never stopped. Infact, after the surgery i bleed for 2weeks non stop until i passed out one day, hough the bleeding was not so heavy but i used at least 4 pads a day. I was taked to Prime in PH and they stop the bleeding completely. I had no period for almost 2 months cos of the medication i was on but when it started again the third month, the bleeding gradually picked up again with each month.

like i said, i had the surgery in 2006 and the fibroid was detected in Feb this year and was about the same size as before (about the size of a large egg). I have a perfectly flat tummy so it is not obvious and i wld not have known if i did not request a scan when ttc. But trust me, i wont have myself opened up again. I've decided to go herbal and ive just ordered some herbal medicine (www.fibroidclear.com) to try out from the US. i hope to get it next month. Then i'll try it and give all you dear sisters my testimony (i pray it be good).

This is only my experience, to be honest, my doctor is quite good but i think it depends on individual.
My older sister had the surgery in Feb this year, the bleeding did not reduce at all, infact it even got worse. She went back again and was re-operated on in May. She tells me the bleeding has reduced. lucky her and am happy for her.

As for me, am going herbal or i'll just endure my pain and try to watch my diet till i reach menopause.

Goodluck with whatever your choice is madam L

Jayjaygirl. thanks a million for your frank response. More of such experiences and one will sit and patiently wait for menopause; not too far off anyway for some of us. thanks and do re-open this after taking the fibroidclear. we need to know if that is a better option.
Re: Please Can Anyone Recommend A Good Hospital For Fibroid Surgery In Naija by madamL(f): 6:47pm On Aug 11, 2010
thank you jayjaygirl. my two sisters have undergone the surgery but are not too happy about it. one who did it soon after marriage is yet to conceive seven years after and the other went for it while still a spinster. As for opening someone up twice, perish the thought!!!Let us know about the medication you ordered. God's blessings.

Hello all

Jayjay girl, please can I know how far you have gone with the fibroidclear?I hav trid to order, but seems difficult. Do they have a distributor in Nigeria and what is the cost implication? Have you noticed any change since you started the medication/

Well, I noticed i had fibroid in december 2008 and i am 33 now, its intramural. I held on from doing surgery but i am making up my mind to go do it
in 2 months time but still hoping for a miracle. Its like 11cm now and makes me look pregnant. I am grateful to God that I dnt bleed but have stops in between. I only have bad pains during menses.

I am still thinking of getting married first, then try for children and if they delay, I could then do surgery. Or what do u think? Still looking for natural remedies. The uterus is very delicate and subserous is still better than intramural, talkless of submucous. I am scared, I wont lie and I want to have children.

I have followed on fibroidclear and knowing it works will do wonders for alot of people.

I am adjusting my diet now and take Yoyo bitters to help relieve my bowels and remove toxins too. It helps me feel lighter, than blotted and I believe God for a miracle.

I wish men would stop faulting women who dont get married early, not our fault. Men are the main factos too. But God will see us theough. There is this drug that is used for abortion, that I heard that small doses for 6 months, could help shrink fibroids too.

God bless you all.

It all depends on where u reside.

This so called Iris Foundation is a fraud. In better climes the owner will be in Jail serving a long sentence. He took his enterprise to Ghana and he was promptly kicked out. He has found active collaboration with Nafdac officials who have ready licenses for products he has not even made yet. Their excuse for the licenses is that the product (like pure water) is safe and will not kill you which is doubtful.

Not all fibroids require surgery anyway and pain is not a hallmark of presentation. You may safely disregard the occasional mortality that is associated with its removal as it is extremely rare. Remember pple die from malaria. If your relation lives in Lagos she can have the surgery done in at least 3 places within 20 mins drive from her home
