Job Title: Underwriting Officer

Reports To: Group Head, General Operations Group

Job Objective: To manage effectively and efficiently service delivery
from business placement to claims settlement.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 Responsible for underwriting all businesses that involves motor, bonds, contractors’ all risk, machinery breakdown and plant all risk, marine & Miscellaneous Accident.
 Ensures adequate rating of risk assessment.
 Processes the documentations for all transaction on AIMS.
 Ensures that registration of all businesses.
 Raises debit note and endorsements for all transactions.
 Sends proposals to Claims/Survey as necessary.
 Follow up on payments with Relationship Officers/Managers on clients’ accounts.
 Gives risk improvement advice and solution to clients where necessary.
 Raises Brokers/Agents commission for TSU/Agency network.
 Prepare weekly/monthly reports.
 Sends out renewal reminders to Relationship Officers/Managers, Brokers, and Agents.
 Responsible for the unit’s file storage.
 Ensures clients information are inputted into AIMS.
 Ensures regular update of clients’ information in AIMS.
 Trains and coach direct reports.
 Carries out any other assignment delegated by the Group Head.
