We've turned our spotlight on Politics in
this episode of the Truth with Olisa Adibua.
As d-day of gubernatorial elections 2015
draws closer and the resolve of the leading
contestants for the leadership of Lagos
stiffens, we caught up with the amiable PDP
gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje - and
boy did we have a lot to talk about. We
touch on issues relating with his current
campaign to life before politics to taking on
a formidable APC side to policies,
Akinwunmi Ambode and Bode George, just
to mention a few.
We want to say a very big thanks to his
media team who made this happen. It was
hard enough trying to get him on Easter
Sunday but Mr Agbaje was a good sport and
a gracious guest. Again, thanks.
Feel free to leave comments below.

Jimi on the right kind of experience.

First, if you do have experience, come out and show it. I don't see my opponent doing that, he doesn't want to exposed himself.

The other thing is that you don't have government experience doesn't mean you are not qualified. Look at Abraham Lincoln, no government experience. He came from the outside to change the norm. Mandela had no government experience. Come to Nigeria, Awolowo, Jakande had no government experience. They came from the outside.

Jimi on challenging the APC.

You do your polls Olisa, talk to the Okada riders, the market women, students, they'll tell you who they will vote for. The challenge I have is to ensure that my votes count.

Jimi on minimum wage in Lagos.

Olisa asked: The minimum wage is how much? 18,000 naira. Has it been in place in Lagos State?

Jimi: No

Olisa: So you're promising minimum wage, where is the money going to come from?

Jimi: You see there are leakages in Lagos State. All we have to do is block those leakages.

I'm sorry this is all I could type. For those that can't watch the video. Olisa also promised to invite the APC candidate. Thanks for your time. Lalasticlala pleeaasseee

Truth be told....until JK started his campaign, Lagos didnt have Igbos, Yorubas or Hausas. All she had were Lagosians. The hussles and buzzles...the hard life...the struggle for survival...from the bus conductors..to the bus drivers...passengers...commuters...agbero...bla bla bla...they all spoke a common Lagos language...with the common Lagos sharpness...common Lagos alertness and a common Lagos vision...the vision for a better developed, peaceful and greater opportunities Lagos. This bond had built their drive for prosperity...from Tinubu to Fashola...working hand in hand with a very ethnic rich cabinet...made of pat utomu, joe igbokwe, ben akabueze, and a host of others, lagosians had always been lagosians. But like I said...that was until JK started his campaign.
Just like PDP is known..taking devilish advantage of our differences... Religious differences on a national level, ethnic differences on a local level..and even academic differences on certain occasions...this has been the hallmark of pdp.
Lagosians should look beyond these difference as always...vote for the party that has always offered the best. Feel free to vote Ambode or JK ... But keep tribal diff out of the way...because at the end of the day...everyone shares the same struggle

I think the PDP strategists are not wise for employing a divisive campaign method. All these shouldn't make us oblivious of who the better candidate is.

I know Igbos who will still vote for Ambode. I know Hausas who will vote Agbaje.
