Following the creation of Delta state on 27th August 1991, the State Government commenced the execution of its own health care delivery services to the benefit of the citizens of the state. Thus the need for middle level health manpower became apparent.Delsotech was esterblished in response to the much needed middle level health manpower to execute the state's diverse health care. The Delta State School of Health Technology is located in Ofuoma community of Ughelli North Local Government area in Delta Central senatorial district of Delta, Delta State. The school is bounded in the North by kokori community, in the South by Afisere community, in the West by Isiokolo community and in the East by Agbara community.

The vision of the school is to train middle level man power for the Health sectors in Delta state and in Nigeria in general. And also to get the various departments in the school accredited with various professional boards and councils, employ and develop competent health Personnel and to ensure that the school environment is conducive for teaching and learning.
