What The Election Told Us by Horladimeyjey(op): 1:43am On Apr 11, 2015
The result of the presidential election is out. It's clear to
you and me what transpired. Even though we laboured for
that change there are things we didn't get right. We all
didn't vote the president elect but the south East and south
south was different. We are far more divided than United.
The call for Biafra would increase in subsequent years. The
president is from the north, vp from the south West and the
national assembly leaders would not be coming from the
east as they voted no one from the ruling party. Because
they will have no representation in government and because
none of them voted the new government, time will only tell if
history won't repeat itself. Let me state here
that even though they were massacred in numbers, even
though hunger killed them in numbers during the biafra war,
They didn't
surrender infact they publicly killed their tribesmen who call
for the war to end. If they had won am sure they would have
killed the northerners as much as they were killed. This only
points to our differences. We have to get it right, Nigerians
have to get it right, GMB has to get it right for we can't
survive another civil war.
