4 Killed In Election Violence In Kebbi by ammanison1: 7:13pm On Apr 11, 2015
Soldiers killed three persons  in Suru local government area of Kebbi State on Saturday after pandemonium broke out during the governorship and State House of Assembly election.

According to eyewitness account, the incident occurred at a village called Bayan Dutsi when voters suspected the INEC supervisor in the area of malpractice and descended on him beating him to coma.

The eyewitness further explained that following the incident soldiers were called in the area to restore law and order when the angry voters most of whom were youths rained stones on the soldiers prompting the soldiers to open fire which lead to the death of three persons.

“The voters, most of whom were youths beat the supervisor to coma whom they accused of electoral malpractice at the polling unit, when the army came, the youth started stoning them and then the army just opened fire killing 3 people,”the eye witness said

The police public Relation Officer in Kebbi , Nafiu Abubakar confirmed the incident, saing investiagtion was onging.

A similar incident of killing ccurred at Kanya in Danko Wasagu local government area of Kebbi State when unknown gun men shot dead one Umaru Gomma, a renowned APC politician in the area.
