Interesting. You stated that Adam and Eve were supposed to cultivate it. What would that mean? Would cultivate it not also mean that you would need to touch the tree? So when Even supposedly said to the serpent that "we should not even touch it," what did she mean then?

The same concept was taught in Egypt too.

If Adam and Eve had eaten it, they would have been in total separation from God forever and be forced to live eternally in a sin-cursed world.

The early chapters of Genesis are allegorical. Not meant to be taken literally. U have to understand ancient hebraic literary forms for u to appreciate Genesis fully.

So its not a literal tree per say, neither was there a literal fruit on it. U could read read more abt good exegesis of Genesis from eminent christian and jewish theologians
