SALES REPRESENTATIVE

General Summary:

Will be responsible for managing sales of the company’s products and inventory management services in Oyo state.
Responsible for ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive sales planning, active customer acquisition and relationship management as well as up to date competitive analysis.
Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
The required candidate will be responsible for creating and managing relationships between the company and pharmacy outlets as well as relevant regulatory and industry association bodies.
In addition, such a person will be required to be knowledgeable about both pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical inventory selling.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
-Collaborates with Managing Director in establishing and recommending the most realistic marketing programs that will help achieve the company’s sales targets.
-Manages an assigned geographic sales area, product and service lines to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
-Establishes and manages effective sales drive to include but not limited to itinerary plans, sales plans, customer listing and analysis, presentation to professionals and their industry associations and competitors analysis.
-Responsible for processing sales orders, product delivery and collections of account receivables from customers within the stipulated period

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
-Creates target customer lists, monthly and weekly sales itinerary, and monthly sales and marketing plan which will include marketing activities and competitor analysis plans.
-Performs sales activities on all target customer accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with [Managing Director] in writing.
-Manages self-development in product knowledge and the sales process.
-effectiveness of marketing activities and impact on sales and customer acquisitions
-Accurately forecasts expected quarterly and monthly sales for various products and service lines based on historical performance and a feel of current market dynamics.
-Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products including monthly reports on marketing activities that will improve sales as well as on new opportunities the company may pursue.
- Ensures proper use of company resources- time and vehicle etc. to achieve efficient and stable sales results.
- Adheres to sales policies, practices and procedures and makes suggestions on improvements to exisiting policies.
- Establishes personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers and should engage Managing Director for such a purpose when necessary.
- Collaborates with Managing Director to review sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines. Responsible for arranging the necessary review meetings
- Collaborates with Warehouse Supervisor to establish and control budgets for sales promotion, trade show and other marketing expenses.
- Reviews expenses and recommends economies in monthly reports.
- Participates in regular meetings in the warehouse.
- Adheres to all company policies, encourages colleagues to do so and whistle blows if observing contraventions
- Conforms to company values and understands the mission, vision and strategy of the company
REPORTING:

- Reports directly to [Managing Director, Warehouse Supervisor].

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
- Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Resident in Ibadan (preferably around the Jericho area)
- Entrepreneurial
- Self driven/ Ability to take initiative
- Ability to use excel in creating data analysis and charts
- Ability to make public presentations
- Sales experience (preferably in a pharmaceutical/healthcare company)
- Degree/HND/Relevant certifications in marketing Management experience (an added advantage)
- Available to travel (as required)
- Current Driver’s license
- Resident in Ibadan
