Moyosore Ogunlewe, the son of a former
Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe, has
accused the All Progressives Congress of
rigging the April 11, 2015 elections in Lagos
State.
Moyosore, 26-year-old Peoples Democratic
Party candidate, contested the Kosofe
constituency 1 election but lost to Mr. Bayo
Osinowo of the APC by 87 votes.
The controversy surrounding the election led to
wild protests resulting in the death of about
three people in the Ogudu and Ojota areas of
the state.
Moyosore, who spoke to our correspondent on
Tuesday, said the APC connived with officials of
the Independent National Electoral Commission
to rig the election.
He said, “The election was a flop because
clearly, I won it. Go out and ask people on the
streets and they will tell you I won. On the day
of the election, we found out that two bunches
of ballot papers were missing and we wrote a
petition to INEC and signed so that the election
could continue.
“During the election in Oworonshoki, which is
my major base, I won with 1,260 votes, not
knowing that in Ifako/Gbagada Ward B, the
population of the voters was not high; we found
out that ballot papers from Amuwo Odofin local
government in majority of the polling booths
which led to a lot of irregularities, giving my
opponent the advantage.”
When responding to questions on how people
were killed, Moyosore, said the violence was
sponsored by APC supporters.
He said, “They organised thugs from
Oworonsoki, Ketu and other areas of the state
to come and beat up our supporters and that
was what led to the death of a passer-by.”
Moyosore said he would challenge Osinowo’s
victory at the Election Petition Tribunal.
However, Osinowo told our correspondent that
Moyosore was only making accusations that had
no basis.
Osinowo, a member of the Lagos House of
Assembly since 2003, said, “Moyosore is my son
and his father is my brother. I pray for him and
hope God guides him so that he will understand
politics better in future.
“Do I look like a thug? Why would I bring thugs
to fight my constituents? He is a small boy; he
does not even know what a bill is. I learnt he is
still in law school. May be when he starts
practising law, he will understand politics more.”

This boy is very lazy, he is yet to finish law
school. Let him practice for 4 years and
come back to contest the seat again. He is
quite young and will need to learn the antics
of politics. Good luck son.

How old was he when democracy started in
1999? 10 years old. Hummm…wonder shall
never end in Nigeria. The man was right
when he said he doesn’t know what a bill
looks like

This boy is still in school for crying out loud!
Can’t his father allow him to finish first
before drafting him into politics? Abi why is
the hurry? Moho, please face your studies
first, when u finish, jump into politics. You
will be more equipped then

Hassan Olalekan Banmosu
your father is from Ikorodu why cant you
contest election there, you know the reason
why he cant point out any achievement in
ikorodu when he was a senator and as
minister of works. go to ikorodu or igbogbo

Interesting, Moyosoro Ogunlewe who claims
he won the election is a Grand Comedian of
Federal Republic of Kosofe.
One, Moyo is just a new resident of Kosofe
LGA and has not even stayed there for up to
2 years or so, he’s known to be from
Ikorodu. He was taken around major streets
by some guys who were showing him streets
around Sawmill, Ifako, Soluyi and the likes.
Two, Moyo doesn’t even know what he’s
going the HOA for. I heard he saying he
make develop the constituency with projects
(ofcourse good for him and for his
constituents) my point is he never told us
how he will make impact via legislations,
sponsoring of bills etc which is his primary
responsibilities.
I can say it loud and clear that the election
was keenly contested and he (Moyo) trailed
behind Osinowo with a very close margin.
The resultballot was counted twice as he
directed and was never in his favour.
Can he tell us where in Oworonshoki (polling
units) he won with a wide margin? Can he
tell us how many polling units he won in
Sawmill, Gbagada, Ifako, Soluyi, Ojota,
Ogudu, etc
Can he tell us why his boys were sharing
money during the elections, can he tell us if
those guys were repelled or not? Can he tell
us how many streets, do he know in his
constituency? What were his contributions to
Kosofe LGA in the past? Where was he
residing before he came to Kosofe LGA, How
many years has he been a resident?
Truly many of the constituents may not like
Osinowo, but I can say it BOLDLY that Moyo
was not even liked by the constituents,
luckily his constituency is not an Igbo
populated area so he shouldn’t think he won
the election.
He should stop instigating the jobless youth
to cause mayhem, I also advice him to wait
for his appointed time as he is just another
Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro (Son of Musiliu
Obanikoro who disgraced himself and proved
to us what he and his father does when it
comes to election)
Moyosore Ogunlewe should wait for his
time…. we don’t want you.

It is sad to read all these false comments here. I stay in Oworo and i can say with all amount of confidence that Moyo won the elections fair and square. He won Oworo, Ogudu, Ifako etc.

People are all tired of Pepper who only come after every 4 years to ask for votes. He has been there since 2003 doing nothing.
