ROLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Qualification: • HND (upper credit and Distinction) or Degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower) • 30 to 40 years • 5 to 8 years experience • Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers state JOB DESCRIPTION • identifying customer requirements; • designing systems and products; • reading design specifications and technical drawings; • researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales; • making models and prototypes of products using three-dimensional design software; • working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards; • liaising with others in the design team; • liaising with clients and contractors; • attending meetings on site; • designing and conducting tests; • recording, analysing and interpreting test data; • proposing modifications and retesting products; • qualifying the final product or system; • servicing and maintaining equipment; • preparing product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations; • Monitoring a product in use to improve on future design. ROLE: MECHANICAL ENGINEER QUALIFICATION: • HND (upper credit and Distinction) or Degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower) • 30 to 40 years • 5 to 8 years experience • Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers state JOB DESCRIPTION • designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability; • developing a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines; • developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs; • discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers; • making sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments; • managing projects using engineering principles and techniques; • planning and designing new production processes; • producing details of specifications and outline designs; • recommending modifications following prototype test results; • using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design; • considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints; • working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering sector; • Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems. ROLE: BUILDING SURVEYOR QUALIFICATION: • HND (upper credit and Distinction) or Degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower) • 30 to 40 years • 5 to 8 years experience • Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers state JOB DESCRIPTION • ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule; • advising clients on schemes and projects and determining requirements; • preparing scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works; • organising documents for tender and advising on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes; • determining the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair; • advising on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable construction; • instructing on the preservation/conservation of historic buildings; • advising on the management and supervision of maintenance of buildings; • dealing with planning applications and advising on property legislation and building regulations; • assessing and designing buildings to meet the needs of people with disabilities; • instructing on construction design and management regulations; • negotiating dilapidations (when there is a legal liability for a property's state of disrepair); • carrying out feasibility studies; • advising on the health and safety aspects of buildings; • advising on boundary and rights of light disputes and party wall procedures; • preparing insurance assessments and claims.
