The fragile peace been experienced currently in the federal tertiary hospitals all over the country seems to be collapsing as health workers under the umbrella of johesu which comprises physiotherapist, pharmacist, medical laboratory scientist, nurses and other health care givers have uncovered plot by the Chief medical directors of teaching hospitals and Fmc's in conjunction the Nigeria medical association to victimize all other health professionals by outsourcing their services in the guise of implementing the public private partnership recently suggested by the federal government.
This is in retaliation for the active role these professionals played in the last johesu strike despite the "No victimization" agreement reached between the honourable minister for health and johesu.
The ppp which was suggested by the federal goverment to enhance infrastructural development in the healthsector is been misconstrued by the CMD's to be an opportunity to deal with the group.
Reports reaching us also indicates they have put plans in motion to achieve their selfish purpose which we gathered was the reason for the meeting of MDCAN in Ebony and Edo state. Other report also hinted that the CMD's have perfected plans to sell off both clinical and non clinical sectors of the hospital to themselves and their cronies. News already filtering from FMC Owerri shows that the CMD; in the person of Dr Angela uwakem and her cronies have resorted to buying off the sectors with their pseudo companies without recourse to the good intent of ppp and rule of law.
Inview of this, johesu has advised its affiliate members to be calm and should not take laws in their hands as they have gotten assurance from the honourable minister that the matter will be looked into and rapid measures taken to forestall another acrimony in the health sector.
