I don't even know where to start, but I doubt the quality of this opposition.
I hope this doesn't give the Super Falcons a false sense of superiority.

FIFA Women’s W/Cup Controversy trails Falcons’ Nike jerseys
Posted by: Our Reporterin Sports7 hours ago
•Nigerian ladies still appear in house wears
Nigeria’s senior women team are still awaiting their Nike jerseys with exactly seven days to the start of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, SavidNews authoritatively gathered.
Super Falcons – Canada
earlier in April, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick announced a three-and-half-year kit partnership deal with Nike which worth N 743m in equivalent.
The Super Falcons were billed to first launch the kits against Mali in an Olympic qualifying match before the Malians’ late withdrawal, but yet to access the jerseys nearly a month later.
SavidNews learnt that the Super Falcons have been turning out in a two tops and shorts sport wears which were handed out to the team since arriving in Toronto on May 20 in view of the expected Nike kits.
Unfortunately, the African representative were seen with the same house-wear looking kits in their training sessions, even in friendly against Canada last Monday which they played out a goalless draw which also turned their general wears.
SavidNews further learnt that the awaited Nike kits were claimed to have been seized by the Canadian customs with promises to secure their release on an uncertain date.
Asisat Oshoala was pictured with a track suit top on the same adopted kit to receive her BBC Women Footballer of the Year award – an outfit which continues to erupt questions from stakeholders.
The source stressed that the players have drastically slowed down on posting pictures via their social media owing to cautions from NFF officials to avoid exposing their glaring abnormalities.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation in a reaction has refuted claims about the unseen kits and assured that ‘the Nike jerseys have arrived Toronto’, but the source insisted the reported arrival of kits were untrue as claimed by the NFF.
The source also noted that the newest kits received and shared on Thursday May 28, were bought sets of white top and an ‘oversize’ tracksuit.
Edwin Okon’s ladies have been paired with former champions USA, Sweden and Australia in the touted Group of Death – D of the World Cup scheduled to hold from June 6 to July 5 in Canada.

Australia? going to be thrashed!

Sweden? going to be a tussle!

USA? can't guarantee!

This is the senior world cup not a female youth championship. We've got nothing on any of those three teams u just mentioned. They are some of the world super powers in women's football and we are yet to even make a quarter final appearance in any worldcup since our debut over a decade ago. Bros, out with the realist side of u, biko, we are CONDEMNED to tread carefully against those teams. We need all the luck in the world to make it out of that group!

Nigeria’s Super Falcons continued their scintillating form ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup next month, by walloping Woodbridge FC 9-0 at the Woodbridge Soccer Centre in Toronto, Canada.
The match, which was the second friendly of the team during the tour, kicked off 6:30pm (Canadian time) on a very chilly Saturday, with Falcons dominating play from start to finish.

Though the Woodbridge ladies made one or two incursions into Falcons’ goal area, they were no match for the African Champions who took the lead as early as the 4th minute through Ngozi Okobi (4th minute) and Asisat Oshoala (38th minute).

The second half witnessed seven goals as Perpetua Nkwocha opened the floodgates of goals as early as the 5th minute, with Ordega scoring a hat-trick and Dike’s brace completing the rout.
Speaking after the match, Coach of the team, Edwin Okon, said he was much more delighted with his girls’ style of play than the score line.

“It was a very good game today. Though we won by a massive margin, I was very impressed with the team’s coordination in all departments. This does not mean we won’t still correct a few lapses here and there but I can see the team preparing well for the tournament proper.
“I’m glad we scored many goals because we need a strong firepower upfront to achieve our dream which is to lift the trophy of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. We will continue to work hard until we achieve this,” Okon concluded.
Sunday will be observed as rest day for the team as training resumes on Monday.

Whyte Ibubeleye (Christy Ohiaeriaku 45'), Onome Ebi (Sarah Nnodim 45'), Josephine Chukwunonye, Osinachi Ohale (Ugo Njoku 45'), Ngozi Ebere (Blessing Edoho 45'), Evelyn Nwabuoku (Chiwendu Ihezuo 68'), Onyinyechi Ohadugha (Pepetua Nkwocha 45'), Cecilia Nku (Loveth Ayila 45'), Ngozi Okobi (Esther Sunday 45'), Asisat Oshoala (Francisca Ordega 45'), Desire Oparanozie (Courtney Dike 45')

Its a good thing to see that coach Okon gave some other players a run-in in this friendly tie.It has afforded him the opportunity to see them in action aside training sessions.

It seems more than half the team was yanked off at half time, that is called utilising a friendly game optimally.Thumbs up Okon and crew, una head dey there jare!!.. grin
