This will be controversial but history is what it is. You can't change the facts.

The Nigerian Government expelled over two million illegal aliens from her
territory on 17 January, 1983 for social and economic reasons
, majority of whom were West Africans mostly from Ghana. However, her action was greeted with a barrage of criticism by members of the international community at large. This paper attempts a critique of this plethora of
criticisms and submits that the Nigerian government of Shehu Shagari acted in conformity with the Nigerian immigration law of 1963 as informed by the exigencies of national interest. Government should therefore be exonerated from all the said criticisms.

On 17January 1983, Alhaji Ali Baba, the then Nigerian Federal Minister of
Internal Affairs, in a television broadcast, ordered all unskilled foreigners
residing and working illegally to leave the country by 31 January 1983

EXPELLED FOREIGNERS POURING OUT OF NIGERIA By The Associated Press
Published: May 5, 1985

LAGOS, Nigeria, May 4— Thousands of illegal aliens, carrying mattresses, clothing and cooking utensils, poured back across the borders to their homelands today, ordered out by Nigeria's military rulers.

The foreigners had been attracted to Nigeria in part by an oil boom in the 1970's, but now the West African nation has deep economic problems and an increasing crime rate, which it attributes in large measure to the immigrants.

On Friday, the Government opened its borders to speed the expulsion of 700,000 foreigners. It was the first time Nigeria's borders with Benin, Niger, Chad and Cameroon were open since April 1984, when the Government closed them to combat the black market in the country's ailing currency, the naira.

The aliens, who were ordered out last month, were part of the second wave of foreigners to be forced from Nigeria by the Government in three years.

Ghana expelled Nigerians in 1969
Abstract
This paper examines the remote and immediate factors that propelled the expulsion of Nigerian migrants
from Ghana in November 1969.
While the paper observes th at jealousy and xenophobia played important roles in instigating the expulsion order, it notes that the key consideration that informed the Ghanaian action was the economic depression experienced in the country nota ble in the high rate of youth unemployment within the country.

Okay so what exactly is your point?

Did Nigerians or Ghanaians maim and kill the foreigners in their country all in the name of economic depression?

How does economic depression justify to killing foreigners in your country. Is that the best way of telling them that they are not wanted?

Are you in any way supporting what the south africans are doing over there?

This is Bullshit to me undecided

@Op, dont annoy the senses of right thinking Africans.

South Africans are not "Expelling Illegal Aliens" but instead killing them, looting and vandalising their properties!!!!!

You must be inhuman to come up with this write-up from "history' just to justify the senseless killings and myopic thinking of the South Africans.

You are a Joke!!!!

It's not the same dude! Let the government of SA come out and officially expel foreigners instead of leaving it to the lazy and opportunistic citizens to do.
