Rivers State Governor-Elect , Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his deputy-elect Dr Mrs. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo on Monday received their certificate of return as the duly elected Governor and deputy Governor of the state from INEC National Commissioner in charge of Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers State, Mrs Thelma Iremiren at the INEC headquarters in Port Harcourt.

On receiving the certificate of return, the Governor-Elect said that despite the plot of the APC to manipulate the mandate of the people through the judiciary, the PDP will never be intimidated.According to him , the survival of PDP in Rivers State is because God has destined the party to liberate the state.

He said:

“ The people of Rivers State will never regret their support for the PDP during the elections.We assure PDP members in Rivers State that the intimidation tactics introduced by the outgoing administration through a phantom judicial commission of inquiry will fail. We shall continue to stand by our members”.

The governor-elect assured Rivers state people that after May 29 , development will begin full force
