Students Protest Due To Sudden Increase Of Transportation Fare by Xionglu(m): 7:14pm On Apr 20, 2015
it was a great shock to all oouites as the transportation fare from Ago garage to Permanent site popularly known as PS increased from #30 to #40 .students came out in mass to stop the affected bus from transporting students from PS to garage which the drivers concluded to reduce it back to normal.
After some seconds, all the affected drivers decided to change their regular route and students were left stranded until recently when the chief security officer(CSO) came to speak with the students.
"we(sug president, cso, and school authority)held a meeting on Friday concerning the issues raised by the drivers that pligh garage to Ps that the cost of garage to PS is not befitting. But to our notice, the conclusion of the meeting was not told"
A student was asked to talk and he said some students whose name was not stated went to the SUG secretariat and discussed the issue at hand today.
He said, the SUG president told them that the issue will be resolved I.e the fee will be brought back to normal.
A driver was questioned why the fee was increased and he said the filling station in Ago iwoye do sell a litre of petrol for #95......see pics at http://oougist.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=15
