The race for the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the incoming 8th Assembly gets tougher and according to zoning arrangement of all Progressives Congress (APC) 4 clear favourites have emerged.
The House of Representative Speaker have been zoned to the South-West, although as members from other geo-political zones have signified their interests. The aspirants are as below.

1] Israel Ajibola Famurewa, Osun State (South West).
2] Femi Gbajabiamila, Lagos State (South West).
3] Abdulmumin Jibrin, Kano State (North West),
4] Yakubu Dogara, Bauchi State (North East),
5] Mohammed Monguno, Borno State (North East),
6] Pally Iriase from Edo State (South South).

The formerly Indicted Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, from Lagos State may not be considered judging fro the much talked clean government the Muhammadu Buhari promised Nigeria.
Hon Gbajabiamila was indicted a local US Law association for Professional and ethical misconduct which hovers around the misappropriation of his clients money.
Hon Israel Ajibola Famurewa, from Osun State is highly likely to be the next speaker of the incoming 8th Assembly.
