Suarez’s Goals More Important Than Messi’s? by Badosqi(m): 12:05pm On Apr 22, 2015
FC Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has recently scored more important goals than Lionel Messi, with strikes against Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The Uruguayan’s career at Barcelona got off to a slow start, after he was banned for four months for a biting incident that took place at the 2014 World Cup, but in the last two months, Suarez has scored some hugely important goals – some more important than Messi’s.

The €81 million price-tag had the Catalan club’s fans questioning whether Suarez would be able to live up the fee, as he appeared out-of-touch when he made his debut. But after goals against Los Blancos, City, PSG, Atletico Madrid and Valencia, it’s evident that he has big-match temperament.

In Barcelona’s last three Champions League matches, where Messi has started and played 90 minutes - twice against Manuel Pellegrini’s men and last week against PSG - the Argentine has failed to score, whereas Suarez has scored four times in those three games.

The former Liverpool striker’s most important goal was against rivals Real Madrid in El Clasico, scoring the winner in another big-game where Messi failed to find the net.

Messi also missed a penalty against City in the round of 16 – an encounter where Suarez found the net on two occasions.

However, Messi did score the second goal in Barca’s big game against Valencia at the weekend, but the goal came late in the game after Suarez put the Spanish giants ahead in the opening minutes.
