The Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Mr
Kayode Idowu, in an interview with Channels
Television noted that in the review, the
commission would be examining areas where it
had problems within the general elections and
begin to explore alternatives that would facilitate
the electoral process.

Speaking on Saturday’s supplementary elections
in Taraba, Imo and Abia states, Mr Idowu said
that the elections went well in the states despite
pockets of issues.

He maintained an earlier stance that the
commission would not fail to prosecute election
offenders.

Some people who were once free and protected by law to do a good job as INEC officials will soon probably lose their freedom in prison.

Bring on the tribunals, I can't wait. It is time we begin to develop a society where there are consequences for actions. We can't keep tolerating uneccesary loss of lives and impunity all in the name of do or die election mentality. Rivers and Akwa Ibom election in the tribunals, let us go there. We need to drag Nigeria into the 21st century at all cost and make free and fair elections a default state of affairs.
