Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu and
national leader of the All Progressive Congress is a
man who divides opinion when discussions arise.
To some he is a corrupt politician who used the avast
wealth of Lagos for his own financial and political
gain. To others he is a national hero who should be
commended for his efforts in eradicating corruption.
Despite these, little is know of Tinubu’s past as a
young man up to his ascension of the senatorial seat
which he won back in 1993 just before a military coup.
It is well documented that he travelled to study in the
United States of America and returned to Nigeria to
seek political power.
But a new report on the Daily beast reveals that
Tinubu used to be a bagman for two popular Nigerian
heroin traffickers in the USA, Adegboyega Mueez
Akande and Abiodun Agbele.
It is revealed that the Jagaban also had for forfeit
almost half a million dollars to the United States
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whenhis act caught
up with him.
