Honestly, in my opinion, buying of any kind of bottled water in Nigeria is like giving free money to their manufacturers. Initially, when i started drinking bottled water i believed it could reduce the incidence of typhoid in my life thinking tht they are processed hygienically. come to think of it, do we see them when they do this processing? So we just assume the water was well processed abi? However, i found out it did not happen like that. Despite that fact, typhoid came whenever it pleased to come and ofcourse that still took some coins off me. So i decided i will not take bottled water again except where there is no pure water. Come to think of it, is there really any difference between them? (Bottled water and pure water). Either way, typhoid will come. And ofcourse, i dont drink bottled water in my house, atimes i remember to boil atimes i forget and i still drink from the borehole in my house directly .

But generally, i noticed that some people pride in it at restaurants or canteens when they order for bottled water. Honestly, some people i see in this situation are people i know i am far far richer than and they still pose that they are drinking bottled water. Is it bigmanism or what?

Abeg, i need someone to enlighten me, maybe there is something i am getting absolutely wrong.

For 9ja,water no get enemy cheesy
Seriously most so called bottled water in 9ja are pathetic.Even "eva" and "swan" brands that used to be ok are now being recycled and produced at the "backyards".
If am outside my home,i rarely drink but if i must drink,i close my eyes and drown the damn water.

I am guilty of this but not because of pride.  Personally, I prefer bottled water (Poland Spring) than tap (piped) water.  Why?  I don’t see NY as a “clean” place; hence my reason for not drinking piped water.  Don’t get me wrong, the EPA regulates tap water - it’s just me.   I don’t even filter tap water

A lot of restaurants here in NY don’t offer bottled water.  That said, (*****Shadowing Ifyalways *****) If the restaurant don’t have bottled water, but if I must drink, I close my eyes and drown the damn water

[/sub] Aquafina is reportedly just plain tap water. I never did like it anyway.

Yea, I heard Aquafina is really just a bottle of tap water. Tried it once and it tasted real "heavy" (if u know what I mean)
