All the 293 rescued women and girls from Sambisa Forest are indigenes of Bumsiri Village of Damboa Local Government in the state, the Borno State government has said. This brings to an end, hopes that some could be the Chibok girls abducted on April 14, 2014. The state’s commissioner of Information, Mohammed Bulama, made known this discovery on Tuesday and said the rescued girls will soon be reunited with their families.

Although no picture nor videos of the rescued women and girls have been shown to the public, the people are happy that some persons held captive have found freedom, whether or not they are the Chibok girls or not. According to the Defence Headquarters, the women were found at Tokumbere camp, inside Sambisa Forest .

Many thanks to the military for rescuing these people whom we didn't even know were missing. Please provide proof as well. Remember we were led to believe they rescued the school girls before the statement was retracted.
