We all own electronic devices laptops, laptops and pc inclusive. Now it got bad and is about to be sent to the repairer or technician. How can one protect their sensitive data on it?

I think it is part of the technician ethics not to tamper with private files of a client unless it is absolutely necessary and he'd have to inform the owner before going ahead.

I don't think you have to go through the stress. but if the repair is not in anyway connected to your hard disk, you can take it out before sending it in.
