Renting An Apartment: Electricity Or Water, Which Is More Important? by NaijaOptimist: 3:37pm On May 03, 2015 |
Getting a decent apartment is usually a huge task in Nigeria. Am stuck between choosing an apartment in an area with stable electricity but you have to fetch from dugged well and buy drinkable water. The other has a dugged borehole but the electricity in the area is bad. Please help make a choice. |

The option of electricity in Nigeria is a thing of luck. U could possibly choose a community with fairly stable electricity and within few months of ur stay, things turn around and electricity becomes a problem. I'd suggest you go for a more stable resource like water 1 Like |

Water. I can't imagine staying in a house where I have to fetch water from a well in this 21st century! Without water, the whole apartment would be oozing with odour. The kitchen would be messed up. For light, at least once in a while NEPA will remember your area and you can also run your generator if need be. My opinion anyway. |

I think you should go with the latter, as water in very essential compared to electricity. If you're the type that works & spends most of your time @ work then water is your best bet....as you wouldn't want to come back at night and start thinking of how to get it(water) Lastly, the ball is in your court...you know what you want, so go ahead & pick the best for yourself. |

I'd choose water any day. Try living in a place without water for a month then you wouldn't even ask this question. |
