Senate President, David Mark on Sunday, told Peoples Democratic Party faithful to put the failures of the last elections behind them.

He said they should be prepared to build a strong and united party, ready to play a credible opposition.

Mark, according to a statement in Abuja, stated this at a parley with PDP Senators and House of Representatives members -elect in Abuja.

He said, “We must accept the ups and downs as an opposition party. That is what the PDP is now. We must remain a united family and face the reality.”

Mark added, “The not too impressive showing of the PDP in the last elections may, in the long term, be a blessing to the party and the nation.”

“We are going back to the drawing board to do a critical review and fashion out a blue print that would get us out of the woods for good.

“The role of opposition is strange to us but it is not a death sentence. We should be ready for the challenges. We are prepared to play a credible opposition. I believe the nation and indeed Nigerians will be the best for it.”

Mark, however, stated that the bickering within and among party faithful, all trading blame over the poor showing at the polls, should stop.

He said, “There is no need weeping over lost opportunities or mistakes of yesterday. The failure of yesterday should be our lesson for a better today and a triumphant future.”

Thats a good one from a good loser.......he who fights and run away lives to fight anoda times PDP have lost to d masses who it has shortchanged for 16 years.

I just hope the Taniods and PDP bulldog will listen to their oga and be a good loser and not the sore ones which goes around crying over spilled milk

I still believe PDP needs to take some crash course program from Lia Mohammed on how to be in the opposition because they haven't being in this position before

Opposition was easy for APC cos of loud mouths in PDP such as fayose, Okupe, Abati, FFK and edwin clark... The exhaulted militants eg Asari, tompolo et al..that sorrounded GEJ

In APC, you rarely find such nuisance..

Though we've observed that the leadership of the party is not showing capabilities for offering a quality and credible opposition. How do we expect TANoids here to be any different?

An experienced and long-serving journalist of AIT in the person of Lara Owoeye has discarded the public opinion that the General HIMSELF barred them...she stated that it was his over zealous security aides who were trying to impress that took the decision on his behalf..

God so kind buhari has denied such act and repudiated them to stay within the confines of their jobs..b4 the AIT personnel opened up...

At least you've seen on NL were she interviewed GMB's teacher (primary) to tell you that it wasnt fabricated..
