Are different branches of same bank having the same SWIFT CODE, anyone with the knowlegde should help pls., what i mean is the fidelity bank in abuja . Having same swift code with the brank at imo or kano? Thank you ! |

swift codes are used when transferring money internationally, yes, two cities will have two different swift codes BUT an account holder has only one account number and if he is requested to provide swift code, should use the one for the branch he ORIGINALLY opened the account. still verify from your bank to be sure. |

Swift or BIC = Bank Identifier code Like a home / postal address Its the identity of your bank , and only used to send / receive funds from international sources Only your bank can verify and give you a sortcode , BIC and /Or Swift code , make sure you walk into your bank , visit your bank's website or call your bank's customer care number to verify However if you have a dollar based account , Domiciliary account , BIC/SWIFT should display on the bottom right of your account information if and only if you use online banking Hope that helps |
