President Goodluck Jonathan is leaving behind a raped and looted nation which will be a burden and responsibility for the incoming government, the senator-elect for Kaduna Central senatorial zone, Shehu Sani, has said.

He said Tuesday during a familiarisation of the Arewa House in Kaduna that the Jonathan administration was anti-North and anti-South-west.
According to him, the activities of the administration undermine development activities in northern Nigeria and have stagnated the region in favour of his own part of the country.

Sani said the Jonathan administration impoverished the North, marginalised the South-west, hypnotised the South-east and enriched the bourgeoisie in the Niger-Delta.

“The chunk of national resources under his administration that ought to be used to develop all parts of the country were skewed in favour of his own part of the country and against the interest and development of other parts of Nigeria.
“Jonathan used his opportunity in power to enrich thugs through a policy called ‘pipeline protection contract’ for which hundreds of millions of tax-payers’ money was allocated to so-called ex-militants and leaders of militia groups. The amnesty programme of President Jonathan’s administration is also a fraudulent exercise that needs to be abolished by the incoming administration. It is unjust to allocate over N140 billion in the name of resettlement, rehabilitation and allowances to 20,000 Nigerians while millions of Nigerians are suffering,” he said.

Expressing concern over the state of facilities at the Arewa House, Sani said its current state is a true reflection of northern Nigeria. The northern political establishment, he said, is as guilty as the Jonathan administration in terms of neglect of the northern region, especially the legacies of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, including universities and industries among many others.

I feel we should keep thanking God for bringing this nightmare of an administration to an end instead of complaining repeatedly on the state of the economy..,With Buhari, there is still hope for the rape victim called Nigeria.

Enough of this childish whining from the APC ! The elections are over. There is no point repeating the same stories used for campaigns way after the elections. Nobody forced them to seek elections despite their knowledge of the country's sorry situation and their appraisal of Jonathan as the worst leader in Nigerian history. They now have a job they were voted to do. From May 29th, it will be their RESPONSIBILITY and MORAL DUTY to look into alleged cases of stolen funds and recover for the betterment of the country. These complaints are nothing but arrant nonsense. If the outgoing administration is as corrupt as portrayed by the APC, then the onus is on the incoming administration to employ federal might to recover stolen funds from the many avenues they can look into. There should be ample opportunities for funds recovery given the massive scale of corruption. Working on exploiting these opportunities should be their focus rather than whining. Enough! The people have given them a mandate for the next four years, and there is serious work to be done.
