The society seems to prefer light-skinned women to the dark ones. Check our billboards, pamphlets, musical videos, modelling etc, you would see the light-skinned more than the dark-skinned.

We seem to encourage it, the reason many women bleach just to fit in and increase their chances of getting offers. We need a great departure from this norm before all our ladies turn to 'fanta face coke body' grin

It's stupid. The white men I see marrying blacks if you look RARELY marry the Light skin ones. The marry the rich chocolate sisters. So thus mentality dey only for small minded Nigeria !

Also in some Asian countries eg India, a fair woman is preferred to a dark one, most of the dark ones are treated like 2nd class citizens.

In America and European countries, most men prefer blonde women to brunettes!!

It's a global issue embarassed

there is a simple answer to that... in China, the darker ones are the poor ones, the ones that work in fields and/or in the street. so the lighter the lady is, the "better" in that society she must be. that is why many chinese women in the summer refuse to get tanned and instead walk around with umbrellas under the sun.

yes sadly, many women have inferiority complex and would rather go through plastic surgery to look like what they are not, and look like zombies. many women go and have breast implants because they have "low self esteem" due to their bodies. thats because they are bombarded in the media etc with these perfect looking women (mostly photoshopped) and they all feel bad about their own small breast or tiny aaass, so they foolishly go and do plastic surgeries. the unfortunate truth is that, in a dress, these women look wonderful with the "new" big tittays and banging bootays, but as soon as they are nekkid next to you, you realise that these ladies looks like zombies.

men are no different, so many want a big cokc to be the men in the bedroom, and they will do whatever nonsense to hope to get it....pen.is enlarger, sex pills and even injection into the pen1s....kai!

@topic, It's just the mentality that being light-skinned makes you look more attractive or beautiful.
