Last month we reported that the South African government has concluded plans to mark HIV positive citizens. A report by VANGUARD claims that the HIV victims will be paid 5000rands equivalent of N840, 000 to bear the mark. Zuma who is reported to to have volunteered to be the first South African citizen to get his HIV status  tatted near his genitals announced that only the first 10 million people (who already tested positive). According to UNAIDS , about 6.3 million South Africans have HIV to volunteer to have their HIV statuses tatted on their genitals would be given the money in form of a funeral expense voucher. I don't see that stopping people from sleeping around. It will only create division or discrimination among those infected. Perhaps, they are trying to get rid of those infected with some sort of poisonous tattoo(conspiracy theory) SA.. Bunch of weirdos. |

They need to invest more on preventive measures and also fund more research for curative measures |
