According to a friend who happens to have worked with Wike when he was the acting minister of education as special adviser, the fire outbreak that erupted at the Federal Secretariat Federal Ministry of Education was intentionally set off to cover up shady deals Wike carried out there to raise money for his gubernatorial bid. They never believed that Buhari will win the elections. Now, fear of exposing the shady activities of Wike drove the desperate man to destroy vital documents to save his ass.
