November 1998 | Livepool v Blackburn |
Gerrard made his Liverpool debut against
Blackburn in 1998, replacing Vegard Heggem in
the 90th minute in a 2-0 Reds win.


March 2001 | Liverpool v Manchester United |
Gerrard fired an unstoppable shot past
Fabian Barthez as the Reds beat their rivals
at Anfield, completing a league double over
United.


December 2004 | Liverpool v Olympiakos | The
Reds looked to be heading out of the
Champions League after a Rivaldo strike left
them needing three goals to progress. The
hosts got two back before Gerrard lashed
home from range with just minutes remaining
to seal a spectacular comeback win.



April 2005 | Liverpool v Middlesbrough |
Another spectacular strike from the captain.
This 35-yard thunderbolt rescued a point for
the Reds and gave goalkeeper Brad Jones -
now at Liverpool himself - no chance
whatsoever.



May 2005 | Liverpool v Chelsea | Gerrard saw
the Reds into the Champions League final
after a 1-0 win over the Blues thanks to that
goal from Luis Garcia.



April 2006 | Liverpool v Aston Villa | The
midfielder inspired his side to a 3-1 win over
Villa with a superb performance, scoring
twice, the second a ferocious effort from
range.




May 2007 | Liverpool v Chelsea | Gerrard
helped knock Chelsea out of the Champions
League semi-finals yet again with the Reds
prevailing on penalties this time.



October 2007 | Liverpool v Arsenal | A fizzing
free kick by Gerrard put Liverpool ahead
against the Gunners after just seven minutes,
leaving Manuel Almunia stranded.
