Actually sir,i'm just pitying her,i imagine the type of judgment and torture she'll go through just for this when our politicians are doing something way worse and they're the major cause of what led her to this,what she's doing is totally wrong,but people shouldn't lynch her or do something bad for her,something must have pushed her into this,if you know how much some people suffer in this country just to eat and feed their family,you won't say this,who knows maybe she or someone close to her has health issues,maybe she's required to pay like 100k or more in hospital and her work pays her only 6k per month,and she doesn't want to steal,no one to turn to,her bosses won't help her,husband may be a security man that collects 8k as salary and they must eat,pay bills and pay the money that's needed,so,he comes here with her for people to pity them more,Nigerians are very hardworking,i don't think any Nigerian would have an available job that pays well and do this,this alone isn't easy as she takes risks,acts like she's pregnant and walks around,her reason for stocking cloth on her belly is that if anybody sees her,if you see her and she tells you her problem,will you help her? 1. You'd never believe her 2.you'd think she should go and work and ignore her 3. You would feel like "why not meet your family rather than coming here?" 4. You won't give her more than 20 naira

My goodness! Some people have no fear of God. A couple was caught at Ebeano supermarket in Lekki yesterday evening May 16th, using fake pregnancy to induce sympathy and make shoppers part with their hard earned money.

They were caught after they approached a man and asked him for money, telling him they had no dime on them. The man saw a female friend at the supermarket and told her he wasn't convinced the woman was pregnant with the way she looked. He asked his friend to use her feminine eye to look at the supposed pregnant. Continue to read the rest of the story...


The couple were then asked to take as much foodstuff they wanted from the supermarket. The man's female friend then tried to feel the woman's stomach and the woman immediately jumpd. So she took the 'pregnant' woman to a corner and asked her if she was really pregnant and she said yes. Not convinced, the lady asked if she could feel the stomach and the woman panicked. But the lady managed to feel it and it was all cloth and she alerted her male friend. The woman was then forced to show the fake bump.

A crowd gathered and not surprisingly, quite a number of them said they had given the couple money at one point or the other. They were later handed over to the police. Photos below..

I like your line of thought and your show of concern which is commendable, however, her situation isn't the worst. Please don't let us get emotional.

Inasmuch as I can't absorb the government from all the challenges we are facing, it is at the same time not enough and justifiable reason for anybody under any guise to indulge in acts that the law frowns at.

If caught like the case of this lady and considering that she might be facing many other challenges, she just doubled her worries.

I pray things get better in Nigeria but even at that, there's never any justification whatsoever to get into crime.
