Virginia beatsmith Timbaland opted for the “His Momma Named Him Bruce, I’mma Call Him Bruce” meme inspired by a quote from the film, Coming To America.
Timbaland, who caught a great deal of backlash over the meme, did show his support for Jenner by adding the following caption to his Instagram upload: “This was a repost I thought was funny I'm not making fun of him I support him but stop it we can all laugh sometime dammmmm it's just a dam repost someone sent to me !!!!!”
G-Unit helmsman 50 Cent also took a humorous approach to Jenner’s transformation. In a meme he posted to Instagram, a side-by-side picture of Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner is featured, along with the following text over Kris’ picture: “Hold the Bleep up how this bitch look better than me.”
Radio personality and The Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne Tha God was one of the most vocal with their commentary. The radio host posted a number of tweets, and even attempted to introduce Transgender Crush Tuesdays.
“People will use the Bible to tell you why you may be going to hell but when it comes to their own sins it's ‘Thou Shall Not Judge.’ If I did believe in heaven or hell I would make sure I was getting in heaven before I tell someone they not,” Charlamagne said in a handful of tweets sent on June 1.

In a series of photos taken by Annie Leibovitz, Jenner makes her formal introduction to the world as a woman. She appears on the magazine cover in full makeup and wearing an off-white, strapless corset.
"If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life,'" she says in the Vanity Fair interview, her first since confirming in May to Diane Sawyer that Bruce Jenner was transitioning to life as a woman.

In addition to recounting the gender confusion she experienced throughout her life, the Vanity Fair article describes countless mistakes Jenner admitted to making as a parent, particularly involving the children she had with her first two wives. She missed birthdays, graduations and even the birth of a daughter before become "an exemplary father" to the children she had with her third wife, Kris Kardashian, according to Jenner and several children interviewed.
"I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce. I'm very much looking forward to that," Jenner's oldest son, Burt, 36, told the magazine.

Yesterday (May 31), Lil Wayne served as the guest coach for the Young Money squad at the fourth-annual LooseCannon Celebrity Basketball game at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.
During the charity event, Lil Wayne appeared to be upset over a call by one of the game's referees. In a brief visual captured by a spectator, Wayne can be seen being held back by his entourage and several members of the Young Money basketball team.
As the referee is escorted away from the scuffle, Wayne and his entourage follow him. Police were reportedly called to the Chaifetz Arena to address the matter. No one was arrested.
Mack Maine, Stevie J., Kirko Bangz, Allen Iverson and Michael Vick were among the celebrities who participated in the game.

Joe Budden recently had a court date stemming from an alleged assault of his girlfriend. Apparently, the "Pump It Up" rapper skipped his appearance and is now wanted by police.
According to TMZ, Budden was supposed to show up in a New York City court Thursday (May 28) for a hearing but was A.W.O.L.
He managed to be active on Instagram during the day but apparently was too busy to handle his legal business.
The 2014 domestic violence case involves Joe Budden allegedly choking, slamming and beating his then girlfriend, Audely Robles, after finding photos of her pictured with another man. The New Jersey emcee denies her account of the night. Budden and his legal team have yet to publicly responded to the arrest warrant.

Kim Kardashian breaks down in tears in a new clip for Sunday's Keeping Up With The Kardashians, after the car she was travelling in with daughter North skidded off the road in Montana.
The star's voice is cracking as she details their near-miss in an emotional phone call.
'Our car is stuck in the snow in the middle of - I mean - in a ditch, off the side of the road, we skidded into the other side of the road and a car was coming towards us', she explained, as her eyes welled up with tears.
Her 30-year-old sister Khloe was behind the wheel of a Yukon GMC rental when she hit a patch of black ice, spun off the road and ended up in a ditch while 17-year-old Kylie sat in the passenger seat and mother-daughter pair Kim and North were in the back.
The car crash happened on February 21, in Bozeman, Montana during a family trip, and the raw footage from the incident will air on Keeping Up With The Kardashians on Sunday. .
Driver Khloe was visibly shaken by the incident, and called sister Kourtney from the scene.
'We almost flipped our car - we flew off the road!' she told her sibling, '[it was] terrifying'.
The raw footage from the vehicle shows Mrs Kanye West yelling: 'I don't have my seat belt on!' as the car goes out of control on the snow-covered road.
Unlike her mom, North was safely buckled in her car seat.
Khloe explained her relief that no one was hurt in the accident: ''things could change in the blink of an eye, our family has learned that tons of times' she says on the show, 'We definitely have angels surrounding us today.'

Jaden Smith is an actor and singer turned fashion designer.

And the 16-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith opted to wear a dress for a high school prom he went to with The Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg, who played Rue in the 2012 film.

ohnny Depp is facing a possible 10-year prison sentence in Australia for illegally smuggling his two pet dogs into the country last month. a lawyer in Nairobi, Kenya, has his eye on someone special: President Obama's daughter Malia.
His offer to win her hand? Fifty cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats.
"People might say I am after the family's money, which is not the case. My love is real," he told the Nairobian newspaper.

Hold up. Don't start ringing the wedding bells just yet for Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill.
The rapper dons the cover of Fader magazine and told them in an interview—which was given back in April—that he isn't engaged to the buxom songstress…yet.
"It's definitely real," he told the magazine about their highly publicized relationship. "But it ain't really time to get married yet. We're still learning each other, feeling each other out."

There was a lot of talk last year stipulating that Dr.Dre was the wealthiest man in the hip-hop industry when he sold his Beats By Dre headphone empire to Apple for a whopping $3 billion. After taxes however, the mogul rounded up a $700 million dollar net worth—making Diddy the richest man in hip-hop with a cool $735 million in his bank account.
With a slew of business ventures including: clothing lines Enyce and Sean John, multimedia network Revolt, alkaline water brand AQUAhydrate and a new tequila called DeLeon, it’s no surprise Mr. Combs took all the cake home this year.

Sekem crooner MC Galaxy was attacked and badly injured on Wednesday night April 15th at producer Shizzi’s studio in Lekki. According to a reliable industry source, MC Galaxy, Davido (they have collaborated before) B-Red, Shizzi, Davido’s driver, a guy named Lati and other HKN members were at Shizzi’s studio working and laughing when suddenly things turned ugly.
According to someone who witnessed the beat down, trouble started after MC Galaxy told B-Red that he (Galaxy) was more popular than him (B-Red). B-Red didn’t agree and they went back and forth. Then an HKN Gang member, who is a Ghanaian artist, told MC Galaxy that he was not funny as a comedian.
MC Galaxy replied, telling him that he was an unknown artist, and they went back and forth yabbing each other. They said all of a sudden Davido came out from the studio and asked MC Galaxy to leave.
“David didn’t like that Galaxy was yabbing his boys and asked him to leave. Before Galaxy could react, David hit him on the back. Then his driver, Lati, took over, punching Galaxy and then hit him on the head with an Orijin bottle. B-Red didn’t touch Galaxy and Shizzi was very upset about what was happening in his studio and tried to stop the fight. Shizzi was really upset that Galaxy was attacked. Shots were reportedly fired at the Miami Beach home of Lil Wayne Wednesday (March 11). Although police are currently at the scene, there are conflicting reports regarding an alleged shooter.
According to Miami’s WSBTV, someone called a police non-emergency from outside the home to report the gunshots. Dispatchers were told that “four people were shot,” the news station reports.
TMZ reports that the alleged shooter placed the call from inside the house and threatened to continue opening fire.
Authorities are currently at the house outfitted in swat gear. Wayne is in Miami but was not at the residence.

This incident comes about a week after a lurker was reported at the YMCMB leader's house. The man lied and told police that he was invited to the home despite never making his way inside. Police questioned him and let him go.

It’s been a commercially successful year for Yung6ix with the album release and many collabos, and you can only expect that it’ll get better from here. He’s still got some work to do lyrically but no doubt when it comes to hip-hop in Nigeria for 2014, he’s been one of the brighter spots overall.

9. Sinzu

Sinzu
Sinzu has been in the news this past year for other reasons besides his music. From his beef with Godwon to his alleged problems with the law, it’s easy to think Sinzu didn’t do much on the music side of the things. But when you go back and sample the tunes he’s dropped over the past year (Make I Tell You, Lord Knows, Fashi, OG Bobby Johnson) you’ll be quickly reminded that Sinzu is still indeed Sinzu.
The most refreshing thing about Sinzu’s music recently is the realness of it. You get the feeling this is a guy doing his thing without the inhibitions of commercialism or record label restrictions. Dude is just doing his thing and it’s coming out pretty dope.

8. Ice Prince

Say what you will about Ice Prince but he’s been arguably one of the most consistent rap acts out of Nigeria for the past couple of years. He rarely shies away from features, and is consistently putting out new material for his fans. He might not be the best lyricist out there but he more than makes up for it with his hard work, and good musical sense.
Along with the hit singles from his last year album release (Fire Of Zamani) which he put out videos for, Ice Prince has done well with singles, Can I Talk (ft. MI and Joel Ortiz), Tears For Naija, N-Word Remix and Freestyle. Not to count the numerous features he’s had. Simply put Ice Prince is stamping his name as one of the hip-hop cats from Nigeria we wont be forgetting soon.

7. Vector

Vector went into somewhat of a hiatus for most of 2014, but when he came back he came back with a serious bang! Dropping his #A7 mixtape, he pretty much told us that while he was a bit quiet in the past months he wasn’t sleeping. The mixtape has gotten mostly positive reviews from fans and hip-hop heads alike. You have to wonder that if Vector was consistently putting out stuff all year he might be higher up this list cos we all know he’s hot on the MIC.
The tunes from him bound to make some noise from his tape into 2015 are Shiga, Undefined. Tupac Bass and Celestial Body are tunes that will definitely creep into a lot of playlists based purely on the lyrical work on it. All in all Vector is pretty much a stable name in Nigerian Hip-Hop and this year he didn’t do anything to change that.

6. Reminisce

REMINISCE
Earlier this year Reminisce was featured in TIME magazine’s “rappers around the world” video special, and for very good reason. He’s been on the hottest MCs in Nigeria over the past year, and his stock has been rising steadily since he first hit the scene almost 6-7 years ago.
Reminisce’ sophomore album Alaga Ibele release late last year has carried him into 2014 with some serious momentum. Singles Daddy’, Eleniyan, Government gave fans a taste of how good Reminisce can be. But it didn’t stop with his album cuts; Reminisce put out a remix to Fela, a new single Tesojue, numerous videos, and one of favorite, a hot collabo with Sarz (Ise Yen). All in all, anyway you slice it, you can’t call any of the hottest names in hip-hop for this past year without mentioning Reminisce in it.

When you go on any Nigerian hip-hop forum or blog comments discussing the best rapper in Nigeria, and Boogey’s name will come up more times than you think. For good reason. He’s right up there with the best of them, and gives the big hip-hop names a serious run for their money. When you listen well to his words it jumps out at you, and you soak every bit of it. His lyrical word play, and delivery is as good as any other out there.
He might be flying under the radar this year in terms of commercial popularity, but his fans and hip-hop heads salivate anytime. His tunes Ask For It, 1am, and Salute Me give you everything you need to hear from this MC. Add that to his fan favorite, Sanctum, it’s easy to see why everyone is super excited about the prospect of this kid.

Often times Jesse Jagz gets tagged with being a producer before the rapper, but that has somewhat changed with the release of the sequel to his 2013 Jagz Nation Vol 1 – Vol 2 – The Royal Niger Company. With joints Aint Nobody, Sunshine, The Case amongst others, that project is arguably one of the best released this year, complete with Jesse Jagz spitting solid bars, good music, solid productions, and giving us all something to think about while listening. I did the due diligence to read various reviews, and really I couldn’t find a bad review. As expected.
Coupled with the heat his 2013 project was still carrying, it’s easy to see how Jesse Jagz is one of the hotter MCs in 2014. He might have shied away from all the showbiz lifestyle but make no mistake, Jesse is still bringing a lot of ammo in his music.

King Modo! No doubt when we speak about ModeNine, we’re speaking about the best lyricist in Nigeria, and there’s barely any competition. A legend when it comes hip-hop in Nigeria and that’s hardly an argument. That being said he’s feature here at #3 is not intended to be a slight at him at all.
ModeNine dropped a whopping 40 track album, Above Ground Level, with everything you’ll need in a hip-hop album, solid joint, playful tunes, solid features including Don Jazzy, Ice Prince, Gentle, Reminisce, Praize, Ruby Gyang, Amaka, Zeus, Proverb, and the hot American MC Canibus, and overall good music. Critics have rated the album as very solid. Even if it’s not his best, it’s a good album that can only add to his great musical legacy. Tunes that stand out are Some More ft. Don Jazzy, Upside Down, SuperHuman featuring Canibus, and NTBB.

Phyno said in 2013 that he was the Man Of The Year, but really we can say he’s been the Man of the Year for both 2013 and 2014. Since he burst on the scene with his unique ‘new generation igbo swag’, it’s been no slowing down this kid holding it down for the east. His pre-album singles Man Of The Year, Parcel, Ghost Mode were already putting him in a league of his own, and his album No Guts, No Glory further cemented his name as argubly the hottest rapper in Nigeria for 2014. Additional singles Alobam, Authe, and numerous features only add to the ammo for that argument. It’s hard to argue with that fact.
Phyno’s unique way of flowing in Igbo while blending in English makes his tunes very appealing even to non-igbo speaking fans, and to those who actually understand Igbo it’s simply the best thing since sliced yam. He’s taken what cats like Nigga Raw, Slowdogg, and MC Loph were doing and elevated it to continental wide appeal levels.

Olamide
Over the past 3 years, no other rapper in Nigeria has had as much of an impact as Olamide has consistently. When you look at his body of work it’s simply outstanding how much material Olamide has put out, and in that hot material. His work ethic is unrivaled right now. His hot singles are too numerous to list but those in the past year include the likes of Yemi My Lover, Story For The Gods, Awon Goons Mi, Make Us Proud (ft. Wale), and Eleda Mi to along with his album, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth. Features? Way too much to list on here.
Olamide’s street styled, gutter, and sometimes playful delivery in both Yoruba and English gives him that unique ability to appeal to fans across the spectrum. From the guys in the streets of Ibadan, to the Lagos big boys, to the Abuja babes there’s something in Olamide’s catalog for you. It’s no surprise that he’s as hot and well received as he is in Nigeria. Lyrically he might not as great as the best we’ve seen, but he more than makes up for it with solid word play, strong metaphors. A lot of which you have to understand Yoruba to really get.
All in all it’s easy to see why Olamide is the hottest rapper in Nigeria for the past year.

A man, Jian Feng reportedly sued his wife for giving birth to what he called an “incredibly ugly” girl.
“I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me.”
Initially Jian accused his wife of infidelity because he knew he could never be the father of an unattractive child. However, DNA tests proved that the child was indeed his. Feng’s wife then came clean and admitted she had about $100,000 worth of cosmetic surgery done in South Korea before they met.
Feng sued his wife on grounds of false pretenses, for not telling him the truth about the plastic surgery, and duping him into believing that she was beautiful. A judge agreed with Feng’s argument and ordered his wife to pay $120,000.

Just not long after Annie Idibia said in her interview that she wished she was the mother of all Tuface’s kids, there is a picture going on around of her husband Tuface kissing one of his baby mamas in the club! Pero Adeniyi.

Reigning African Women Footballer of the year, Asisat
Oshoala has finally committed her future to English Women Club Liverpool.
Oshoala won both the Golden Boot and Golden Ball - as Player
of the Tournament - at FIFA Under-20 World Cup Finals in Canada, and becomes
the first player from Africa to compete in the Women's Super League.
Before her move to England, Oshoala was with Nigeria Women
League side Rivers Angels who she has helped to many trophies; the last set
being the League and Federation Cup in the just concluded season.
Speaking of her move to Merseyside, Asisat said: "Since
I began my football career I have always dreamt of being a professional
footballer, so to be able to join the reigning Women's Super League champions
is absolutely fantastic.
"Liverpool Ladies are a massive club, who have some
fantastic players who I believe can help to develop my game to the next level.
It was also a big incentive to be able to play in the UEFA Women's Champions
League, which is a huge competition and one I'm confident we can do well
in."

Services will be held Friday afternoon at the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Grand Mosque in Riyadh, and many world leaders are likely to pay their respects.

Jordan's King Abdullah cut short his visit to Davos, and is heading to Riyadh, according to a Jordanian government source.

"King Abdullah's life spanned from before the birth of modern Saudi Arabia through its emergence as a critical force within the global economy and a leader among Arab and Islamic nations," U.S. President Barack Obama said in a statement.

He praised Abdullah's role in sponsoring the Arab Peace Initiative, which attempts to solve the long-simmering conflict between Israel and Palestine.

"This is a sad day. The United States has lost a friend, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and the world has lost a revered leader," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in a statement. "He was so proud of the Kingdom's journey, a brave partner in fighting violent extremism who proved just as important as a proponent of peace."
