Yoruba a betrayer? Where did that come from?
Are you saying the ibos (Zik, Ekwueme e.t.c) who betrayed the south to form allies with the north in order to relegate their fellow southern counterpart are no betrayers?
You mean the ibos who backstabbed the same north they formed allies with, by killing the northern leaders just because the ibos couldnt control the power thirsty attitude in them are no betrayers?
You mean the biafrans who preferred to hide in the bush, snatching foods meant for the ibo civilians, polictiking the lives of ibo children and women by using them as covers during the civil war are no cowards?
You mean Ojukwu who refused to surrender to save the lives of his people nor fight till death for the cause he championed but rather ran away like the cursed goat he is, in an ashewo attire is no coward?
You mean the ibos who ran back to their village with their heavy loads on their heads during Lagos june 12 crisis or the ibos who refused to go out and vote after Oba Ril. threats are no cowards?
You also mean the ibos who the whites found naked in caves without empires and dancing round pot of human meat are no cowards nor evil?
Ibo and lies, very synomous!
Let me also tell you that no matter how you try to rewrite history, the truth will always resurface!
And it's official, you ibos are unredeemable!

Man mi, don't worry yourself about that bigoted fool. From the low patronage of his disgusting thread, which is nothing but a not-too-clever attempt to malign the Yorubas, you can tell that the Yorubas on NL are becoming clever and resilient. Many are now fully aware of the envy, inferiority complex, insecurity and hate that drives others to come here in ethnocentric idiocy daily. Ignore him and leave him to talk to his fellow bigots and haters.

It is becoming clear to many Yorubas that those who only see things along ethnic lines and feel they have lost against us many times, to include the latest and still very painful 'loss' being the defeat of GEJ, will always seek worthless and meaningless cyber-confrontation and tribal E-wars they feel gives them a chance to exact some form of revenge against the Yorubas. Is is up to intelligent and focused Yorubas to ignore these Nairalanders because doing this will frustrate them immensely and leave them stewing with rage since the target of their tantrums (the Yorubas) appears unmoved by their incendiary antics.

The Igbo may not take offence, maybe because the Igbo accept being ritualist and fraudulent as facts about them. That is the Igbo problem.

The hausa man may also accept being called a religious jingoist that losses his mind when his religion is mentioned as facts about him.

That will not make a Yoruba accept lies as facts about him. That is up to the people involved to accept it or state categorically when a lie is use to represent them.

U people just proved d @op right that yorubas r critics, they criticise everything. The op just statef d merits and demerits of IGBO,HAUSA and YORUBA. U guys just confirmed what op wrote (critics)
You're a fool!
Which critics? You mean by rewriting history or painting Yoruba the characters the ibos are known for!
Ibos are the most untrustworthy tribe in Nigeria, nobody trust them to the extent, their doings became an adage, which is ''Give ibo man an inch, he will ask for all''. They are betrayers! From time memorial, they have always betray either the south or the north due to their power thirsty attitude yet they are known losers and slaves to all tribes!
That's not to talk of their self entitlement attitude! Zik and Ironsi truncated SW and SS succession respectively yet they want both SW and SS to join the Biafra cause! Ojukwu and his Biafra troops invaded Benin and Ore, bombed and killed people in Benin, Ore and Lagos yet wanted Awolowo to have mercy on him and his troops!
The same Ojukwu that refused to set free Awolowo while releasing his prison inmates yet wanted to claim the glory that he freed Awolowo when Gowon did!
The same Ojukwu and biafrans that were expecting food from the North while they were killing the same northerners and when Nigeria eventually sent them food, they claimed it was poison and refused to admit it to their ibo civilians who kept dieing of hunger but rather, the biafrans kept eating the same food they claimed it was poisoned!
The ibos are also known cowards in Nigeria. They chestbeat, brag and open their loud mouth just to feel important but whenever yawa burst, they are the first to carry their load back to their village as witnessed in the North when they kept mocking their host who were mourning their leaders that were killed by the ibos during the ibo coup! Eventually, the hausa descended on them and the ibos were seen, running back to their villages!
The same Ojukwu bragged how biafrans has the army and resources to defeat Nigeria yet, he ran away to abidjan like a cursed goat!
What about the Lagos june 12 crisis?
Ibos are just bunch of empty barrels!

Writing for Naij.com from Magodo, Lagos,
Maxwell Adeyemi Adeleye says the Yoruba
youths are no longer making their valuable
contributions to the political and cultural life
in Nigeria. What can the Yoruba people do to
restore lost influence?
Lateef Raji, a public policy analyst, in an
article titled “Dwindling Oil Revenue: What
Next for Nigeria?” posited that today, despite
the pitiful state of unemployment in Nigeria,
ironically, the nation is still rated as the third
destination of investors and one of the
fastest-growing economy in the world. Raji
noted that Nigeria is a golden land of
numerous opportunities for those who are
resourceful, ingenious, creative, innovative,
inventive, groundbreaking, enterprising,
hardworking, focused, visionary and, most
significantly, disciplined.
Consequently, as a concerned Nigerian, I want
to question the role(s) of Yoruba youths in the
current fight against unemployment,
starvation and poverty in Nigeria. This
question was necessitated by my discovery
through indirect observations that Yoruba
youths are the most lazy, perfidious and
egoistic youths in Nigeria as at today.
I discovered that the pride of an average
Yoruba youth has overshadowed his
intellectual judiciousness, level-headedness
and sagacity. Today, among ten Nigerians
submitting their resumes to multinational
corporations eight would be Yorubas. Folks
from my generation in the Western Nigeria are
too lazy to tap from the abundant
opportunities that litter the streets of, say,
Lagos, for primitive accumulation of wealth.
The Igbos, and, by extension, the Niger-
Deltans and the Northerners have indirectly
taken over the control of economy of Lagos,
Nigeria’s indisputable number one centre of
success, excellence and opportunities.
The Apapa wharf in Lagos has virtually been
taken over by the Easterners. The data that I
got from the Nigerian custom services
divulges that 63% of those licensed to
transact businesses in Apapa Wharf are Igbos.
More so, data collected from licensing office
reveals that owners of 56% of commercial
motorcycles in Lagos are Northerners and
Easterners. The lucrative transport business
has been hijacked from the Yorubas.
Today, the major work of average Yoruba
youths on the streets of Lagos is to collect
royalty, due and charges from the Hausas and
Igbos, using their motorcycles to make cool
cash from their land. Ninety-five percent of
transport, travel and tour firms operating in
Lagos are owned by the enterprising and
hardworking Easterners.
The Yorubas stay at various intersections
harassing hardworking people transacting
their legal businesses in the name of
collecting charges and dues for the local
government. I also discovered that majority of
the few Yorubas riding commercial
motorcycles in Lagos are locally-trained
automobile engineers that have abandoned
their workshops.
Furthermore, the popular Ladipo and Owode
motor spare parts markets in Lagos are now
solidly in the hands of Igbos. As usual, the
Yoruba youths are in the market collecting
dues for their local government chairmen and
the Iyaloja General of Lagos. Yaba, Oyigbo,
Sabo, Oshodi, Agege, Alaba, Idumota, etc.
markets have been taken over by the
Easterners and Northerners who are
predominantly youths.
Let me also assert unequivocally that the Igbo
youths are now becoming more prosperous in
the entertainment industry than the Yoruba
youths. Today, the Yorubas hardly tune their
DSTVs to the Yoruba movie channel of the
satellite television; rather, they watch some
other movie channel that show English movies
with actors and actresses of Igbo extraction.
Why? Because most Yoruba movies are short
of creativity.
I can also articulate that 85% of the CEOs and
executive directors of commercial banks
operating in Nigeria today are Igbos and
Hausas under the age of 50. They are very
talented in boardroom politics, unlike their
Yoruba counterparts, and they assist each
other with an amazing ease.
Educationally, the Yorubas are no longer in
the top-three. According to the National
Universities Commission (NUC), Anambra, Imo
and Enugu have the highest number of
professors and doctorate degree holders in
Nigeria. Ekiti and Ondo states that used to top
the list have been demoted to number four
and six respectively.
In 2014, the reports of the West African
Examinations Council (WAEC) and the
National Examination Council (NECO) revealed
that the Yorubas have been upturned by the
Easterners in terms of academic performance.
Ekiti, a state known as fountain of knowledge,
was number 34 in 2013.
The Yorubas are also missing in the sports
sector. The Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles,
Super Eagles, Flamingoes, Falconets, Super
Falcons, D’Tigers, other national teams are
dominated by the Igbos and Hausas. The team
that won the African Cup of Nations for
Nigeria in 2013 was tagged Biafran national
team by some columnists and social
commentators, including myself.
Politically, the Igbos and Hausas are more
united than the Yorubas. The result of the
2015 presidential election is a point of
reference. The Hausas voted massively for
General Buhari of the APC, while the Igbos
extraordinarily voted for Goodluck Jonathan of
the PDP.
Sadly, the Yorubas had no bearing during the
election. Jonathan’s inner circle members are
currently blaming the Yorubas for their son’s
expected defeat. Victorious Buhari’s
teammates are reportedly saying that the
Yorubas contributed little or nothing to the
success of their kinsman.
In conclusion, I want to impel my generation
in the Western part of Nigeria to wake up and
begin to act. The nation of Nigeria that I am
seeing today is hemorrhaging. I suggest we
put ourselves in strategic positions. The bitter
truth is that our leaders only think for
themselves and their children.

HAUSA/IGBO/YORUBA

HAUSA
Personally, i like the Hausa man because he is
a free & kind giver, welcoming to strangers
and very sincere when it comes to daily
business dealings. A hausa man will hardly
ever want to cheat you in business.
A hausa man is also a contended person, he
can have a very low class and poor job, but he
would be very contended with it and will thank
God. Also, once a hausa man has liked you,
he will almost show u love to the end, only
one thing can turn that love to hatred
overnight and that thin is TOUCHING HIS
RELIGION.
That is the bad side of the hausa man. A
hausa man can do absolutely anything if you
touch his religion, no matter how wicked, or
heartless it may be. The hausa man is easily
brainwashed by religion, once touch his
(religion), he can completely loose his senses.
Also, the hausa man is the greatest
discriminator (especially in the aspect of
religion). This is why you see that hausas
have derogatory names for different people the
way they view them from their religious point
of views. hausa man when it comes to land.
He will come and settle on your land, you will
welcome him and afterwards when he and his
people & children have populated the place,
they forget or deny everything and turn around
to say they are the original ancestral owners
of the place.

IGBO
The good side of the igbo man is that he is a
very hardworking, industrious and progressive
person. An igbo man always believes in sure
progress (i must succeed) and leaves no room
for failure or laziness.
They are very smart, calculative & enteprising
in nature. They bring peace & development to
wherever they go.
An igbo man is well exposed and well travelled
and interacts well with others. They also have
very good looking and beautiful people. They
are resilient and hard headed people who
always stand after their words and choices
and do not waiver here and there. They easily
integrate and acculturate with others wherever
they are found and show utmost respect to
other peoples cultures wherever they go. They
dont believe in opression of those they are
more than. They believe that they should
always be the best in everything, and this is
where some of their problems come in.
The bad side of the igbo man is that they
always like to be on top when doing anything
with you, they want you to play foolish and
them wise. Some of them see all other tribes
as foolish people or less wise and themselves
wiser. They always want to outsmart you.
Also, criminality is another major problem of
the igbos. Always in a bid and haste to
succeed and their love for money, they can
almost do anything at all no matter how
wicked it may be to make money, drug
dealing, armed robbery, baby factory, 419,
production of fake goods e.t.c.

YORUBA
The loveable things about yorubas is firstly
their very respectful nature. Disrespect
towards elders is not tolerated in anyway
amongst them. A yoruba can see you and
greet you ten times a day bending down.
Yorubas are very very peaceful in nature and
not troublemakers.
A yoruba man loves to be enlightened and
believes so much in education and
enlightenment. They are a very neutral people
especially when it comes to religion.
Religious sentiment is the last thing you can
ever try to use to deceive a yoruba man. They
dont care who is a.muslim or who is a
christian, they believe so much in religious
oneness and unity to the end. That is why you
can find a yoruba family with adherents of
islam, christianity & traditional religion, i have
even seen a yoruba man who claims he is a
practitioner of all 3 religions.
Yorubas are very social and fun to be with,
hence their crazy love for partying and
clubbing.
The bad side of yorubas is their attitude of
tribalism. They so much love their culture and
tradition to the end and sometimes take it too
far when dealing with others.
The yoruba man is also just like a chameleon,
never stable in behaviour, a hypocrite, you can
never predict which colour he will be
tomorrow. You can never really trust a yoruba
man because he is a backstabber and
betrayer, both of u may agree something here
and he will go behind your back to say a
different thing. A yoruba man also has a
typical cowardly attitude, anything happens
they will be the first to run away despite their
plenty talk. They talk too much and do little
action. They are very good in insulting and
running their mouths.
A yoruba man is also a very big critic.
Criticizes everything. They are also very big
pretenders, they can see you and fall at your
feet worshipping you with their greetings, only
if u know what they are doing to you at your
back. Yoruba people are also very very dirty
people, no doubt.
Lastly they believe so much in diabolical and
traditional powers, charms, native doctors
(babalawo) and juju medicine, this is why
there are so many human parts factories in
the land for human rituals.
Anyone that thinks it's a lie, watch any yoruba
movie starting to ending and if you dont see
babalawo involved, then know that all i am
writing here is untrue trash.
However, in all these cases, there are people
who will always have exceptional characters.
So it is not applicable to 100% of the people,
but however majority.
Any middlebelter who has lived amongst these
3 majority groups can always attest to this,
sentiments aside.
Someone from Kogi said, the 3 major Nigerian
groups are our 3 major problems in this
country. I partly agree with that and at the
same time partly disagree because the 3
major Nigerian groups have also been
blessings to Nigeria one way or the other in
different ways, just that in summary always,
they will always have good & bad sides as
almost all things have their unique
advantages and disadvantages.

The op is a drooling retar.d. Loads of contradictory statements, Ibos are straight forward and hard working folks yet they excel in crimes in their quest for money.

I don't know when criminals started to be referred to as straight forward.
Bigots are not the smartest people in the world.

This OP needs to be left to drool on his own poo. I see no reason arguing with a lunatic.

I have related with all the three tribes. I am from south south.

I agree with d OP 100%.

Yoruba are not dependable. They are unstable in opinion and position. They are neither here or there. They are mostly hippocrite. To d yoruba man, his tribe is more important than religion. Very neutral people when it comes to religion

Igbo are very greedy 4 money. When it comes to money matter Igbo people dont have religion or morality once money is involve. Igbo people are also too proud and arrogant.

Hausa are are very honest and friendly. Easily contented and easy going. Very reliable people. Once they trust u, they trust completely. But they are extreme religious Bigot.

If i am to rank them, if i am to rank them, i will rank them like this,

hausa distant First.
Igbo and Yoruba bracket second.
