that's the smell of the chemical,people are advised to wash them before wearing mainly for this reason.

sometin (eg chemical) is added so they wont become damp enroute. they way d cloths are obtained is fradulent too. they go around distributing flyers attached wit a green nylon to pple houses to donate cloths for victim of earthquake, famine and orphans in Nigeria Pakistan india Kashmir Sudan etc. wit a specified date for collection. u leave it at ur door step. whites being wat dey are ( maybe cos of cold) dont wash their cloths or shoes frequently ( some wash once in 3 months, hence d quality of d okrika). the collectors den sell it to dose in d business. charity my foot

I didn’t know they had good quality. I always assumed they were clothes willingly given out to charity then picked from collection bins by Africans.
Nigerians won’t kill themselves with deceit. The poster who highlighted the fraud in the their collection has enlightened me.
I know a fair percentage of the clothes are gotten from airport customers’ lost luggage.
