i finally got my HL2 expansion pack. been waiting so loooong for this. so install. . .

first it installs steam. i register an account with steam. time to install the game.

this is where the wahala kicks in - it must 'update ' the game before installing. if you don't have a hyperfast connection, you will wait. . .on some forums, they have waited for over 10 hours for updates to complete

i am so pissed . this is actually the most fundamental benefit of piracy. if i'd dled a warzed copy of the game, i'd have been playing it straight out of the download. . .
