Happy Children's Day


I wish boldly declaring, I can say, Happy Children's Day! But I can't. I'd rather I say, Happy Mother's Day!

For this creatures called Mothers are the reason why children are here. They are widows hoping on their children, divorced and single mothers they are, playing the role of a father for their children. They are wives in marriages, battered and bruised, uncatered for and sexually abused. Yet for love's sake, they stay in toxic marriages and some die in the process. They are the mothers on the street of Mile 12 market hawking tomatoes, resuming work as early as 6am and closing to the erected manhood of a careless husband who spent the day drinking local concoction that serves as viagra......

They are the mothers who would not abort their pregnancies but stayed for love when things were rough, believing on light in a field of utter darkness.....

My son when I eventually have you, love your Mother than life itself, she is the reason you were born...

Happy Children's Day you children, and remember always your Mother, she's the reason why you're here.
