Ekiti youths under the aegis of Ekiti Youths Advancement Forum (EYAF), have shown their support to the new peace deal initiated by Governor Ayodele Fayose to resolve the on-going crises in the state house of assembly involving the 19 APC lawmakers.

In a statement signed by the secretary of the group, Miss Oluwatoyin Adeniyi, the group said, the meeting held by the two parties as a good sign of democracy and the best interest of Ekiti people. The impeachment moves by the APC lawmakers is not the best motive for the state as this causes panic and dissatisfaction among Ekiti people.

The group said, since the 19 APC lawmakers have less than 2 weeks to complete their tenure, the lawmakers should take the governor’s peace deal in the best interest of Ekiti people, as this will give the lawmakers more political advantage in the future.

The group describe, Governor Ayodele Fayose as a magnificent peace loving leader, committed to sustainable democracy and peace of the state, while urging political parties in the state not to take advantage of unfortunate events happening in the state right now as a cheap political point, but to support the state government and Ekiti people to overcome this trial time.
