Ama80:Baby, don't hate. I use exactly d same phone. To send files, download an app called files. Browse tru ur files n it will be easy to share. To download via external device, u can go to windows store on ur lappy, download any app u want, save on ur memory card on ur fone, navigate to store on ur fone and click d 'l--' more button, there u will see 'install local apps' and u good to go. For Whatsapp, you just Av to wait till windows update d call option for it. Btw, windows 10 is coming soon on windows phone and I assure you that will knock out androids n d rest. Just be patient. I beg to differ..u cant use app from windows store on lappy in ur lumia phones.dey dont have same kernel....its only windows 10 dat have dat facility to do dat the op is just deluded.he simply cant use a windows fone....i use one(lumia 640 xl) and dont have any plan on returning to android ecosystem.....just wait for windows 10,u ll eat ur words aribitoye: |

I feel you, windows 8 is such a wack,boring OS, I hated it. Everyday I cursed the phone till luck smiled on me and now am on android. I used the lumia 530 for a while and I swear whenever I was using it, I always felt nauseous, lol. Funny but true, I wanted to puke every time, really strange. Just like life, it depends on what works for you. If you are familiar with Android, then go for it. From Java to Windows and now on Android. To me they are all good, it just depends on what you want to do with it and the size of your pocket with regards to phone cost and subscription. I like changing how my phone looks and I like trendy and very versatile software so I jumped to Android. My point is if you can understand Windows Phone it is lovely for simple minds. It is easy and straightforward unlike android that can sometimes be complex but indeed very powerful. Good luck in your search for the right phone....but my guess is you will also join the millions of us who may never use a tenth of the ability of an Android device! 2 Likes 1 Share |

When people learn to define what they want from their smartphones and do a little bit of research before buying and not just walking up to the counter to pick one...and when they understand the difference between "open and closed source OS", then maybe this pointless Android/Windows comparison will stop or at least it can be done objectively Funny thread |
