New year! New List! as usual, at the start of the year we give you list of cars you can buy in various price ranges. 2 Million for a car today can be a serious hassle BUT there is somebody out there that has exactly 2 Million Naira for a car so let’s get into it anyways. Welcome to the 234drive Countdown. 10. Honda Baby Boy - Naija Used With 2 million you can get a Naija used Accord aka Babyboy and if you really want to be a “Babyboy” you can go for the 2- door version which is actually a sexy looking car as long as it is neat. This car doesn’t have issues asides the ball joint thing which actually gives you signs…it doesn’t just happen. This car is also very economical with a modest interior…tbh this interior gives NOTHING. Will I drive a Babyboy in 2025 ? maybe. 9. Ford Focus 2001 - 2003 *Chuckle* I think it looks funny sha…like it has a long mouth. This car is another good one for less than 2 million naija used. It is actually a rugged car. Upthere with the likes of Camry and Corolla…very stubborn Ford. I have seen this car gliding on third mainland bridge before and I was surprised…but if you care about aesthetics and what people think…hmmmm what do you think ? 8. GOLF 3 We asked someone recently “if your ex was a car, what car will they be and why” and they said a GOLF because the Golf is not reliable and doesn’t have speed… GOLF ? this same GOLF ? This Golf is a tank if you maintain it properly…with less than 2 Million you can buy a well maintained GOLF 3 and just cruise in a German car like very simple. I think this is my favourite car on this list because this is a very versatile car. You can buy the hatchback or the estate body design which gives you more room to carry stuff. Are you a golf head ? let’s connect in the comment…like I am serious o, I want a golf and I am getting one soon…chai, this is getting personal, let’s move on. 7. MITSUBISHI SPACE WAGON If you have a family to move around or you want to get into transportation business…this is the 2 Million naira car for you. Go to Unilag now, you will see cab men hustling with this car and to be fair, it doesn’t look like a car made in the 90s…the design was kind of fresh in the 90s but looking at it now…it just looks like the grandpa of the Sienna. It is also very economical unlike other mini vans with 6 cylinder engines. 6. Kia Picanto 2010 With the way prices of cars have been going up I would have expected the Picanto will be higher than 2 Million but the nobody really wants this car because it is tiny, so I can understand BUTTT remember this is the car that brought Odumodu into limelight “ They know I came in a Picantoooo” so maybe there’s something there. This is the newest car on this list…uses a 3 cylinder engine but there’s also am option for a 4 cylinder engine both very economical I mean, see the size…the Picanto is a “small” made for maximum of 4 people and if you have this car, i will advise you don’t use it for long distance because it wasn’t built for stress…just city driving. 5. Pencil Light Camry This car was on the list last year and it’s still standing strong in 2025…this is a solid car guys, very solid and i think it doesn’t look bad at all in 2025. It is not a car you buy for aesthetics, it is mainly functional but when you drive anywhere people dont necessarily have an opinion. I t just does the job for you … if it is NEAT, you’re at an advantage. The interior? solid…I wish Toyota kept to this quality for designing interiors…they really ate with the quality on the interior of this car. Cheap to maintain, ample power for daily movement…at 2 million, the Camry pencil light is your guy. CTA 4. Peugeot 406 The 406 is the most powerful car on this list because it is the only car that everyone will respect you from afar thinking you are affiliated with the Millitary. Also, I think it is the best looking car on this list because the design has aged well but the issue with a 2 million naira 406 is that you might be having to do a lot of repair work to bring the car back to life and peugeout mechanics are also very scarce. Sooooo…use this information to your greatest advantage. 3. Honda Civic 1999 There is nothing about this car that will amuse you but if you are a Honda guy and you have 2 Million and you want a Honda that will not yawo, this is your only option. Oopps! I just remembered something interesting about this car…you have a wide range of body styles and trims to pick from…about 4 to 5. Coupe, hatch, sedan, DX, CX, GX, HX, SI…IDK if that’s what will make you buy this car in 2025 but I am just a messenger doing my job. 2. Toyota Corolla *laughing* you thought it was THAT Corolla abi? dey play. This 2 million naira Corolla hmmm idek, it is not giving anything. It is just a car that will get you from point A to B. Try to buy one with working AC sha so that nobody will flag you down as cab. From this list, what I can observe is most of the cars are giving transportation business…maybe we should rename the video “Best cars for Transportatiob business in 2025” At number 1, we have a CLASSIC. 1. Volvo 240 Wagon Not the classic you were expecting of course, this Volvo was a force back then in 1976…sold brand new in Nigeria at about 10,000 naira and we have noticed that people are heavily modifying this car now into Limousines for transporting fruits, pepper, livestock and other market things. So, if you are thinking of going into that business of moving things around the country, 2 million naira will get you this VOLVO. Sigh…we are at the end and I don’t know how I feel. What is the one car on this list that your soul, body and spirit will not allow you drive even if it’s the last car on earth ?

This car reigned in Nigeria between 1976 and 1996 as a family car mostly for the middle class and was very common amongst University lecturers and professors. It sold between N7,000 to N10,000 back then when there was nothing like Tokunbo cars...everybody bought brand new! Today it is mostly used as a beat-up car for carrying farm produce Tell us your experience with this Volvo in the spirit of Throwback.
