I purchased this myself online from the sony (us) education store. at the time of purchase these laptops cost about 180k - 200k (upgraded from the base spec) back home
this laptop has been nothing short of amazing..battery life is awesome , keypads are a joy to type on, screen is bright and beautiful; upgraded to the (1600x900)option during purchase.

BUT NOW , THE HINGES ARE BROKEN AND THE SCREEN IS SEMI-DETACHED FROM THE LOWER PART
EVERY THING ON THIS NOTEBOOK IS STILL 100% FUNCTIONAL. AND WILL MOST PROBABLY BE BEST SUITED FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BUY THEM FOR THE PARTS..

i put it up for sale few months back, bt i took it off cos I had to continue using it. when my macbook pro was delayed.

-The Optical Drive (DVD burner) still works excellently. haven't used it up to 10 times since purchase, been primarily used for occasional software installation.
-Battery is great, still up to 4hrs juice time
-Storage is a 750GB 7200rpm HDD
- RAM, 8GB DDR3 -1600 MHz
-Intel HD 4000 Graphics
