never, never, never

They say never say never. Stretching a car involves a lot of things especially the type of welding that will be reqd to put the car back together. It can just be any type of welding. The wiring (or sometimes fibre optics cable). More powerful A/C, brakes etc. Cos the car is bigger, heavier etc.

The car will flex more cos its longer hence the uncompromised welding. And most important of all, it has to be able to withstand crash impact.

Theres a lot more details and physics that will come into play before you just cut up any car and stretch them.

Good luck.

Promise, you have good points, but we do export everything to Nigeria, so why cant we export all it needs to stretch it as well?

Bros, make una no under-rate naija abeg. Stretched Limousine na small ting to do. If you go mit Ola Oluwa for Abule Egbe, e go help you build your limo. Abi una think say all the molue and 911 wey una dey see na imported? Na lie, na the guy dey build the dem for Abule Egba.

Bros, the difference btw your limo and the 911 na small ting, dey guy go do am for you. Sebi limo get fridge inside, just tell lam say mak e mak space for Eleganza cooler. Lino get tv, se bi? E go just build small iron table somewhere inside and you buy 14'' LG tv put inside. Wetin you want, the guy go build am to you taste.

We to much, limo na garri and epa.

About 15 year ago or more, a Nigerian was featured on NTA Newsline who was specialised in converting 505 saloon cars into stretch limos.

I tell you this guy was VERY GOOD. He studied Automobile Engineering abroad and had worked with major car manufacturers abroad.

The cars were very well finished.

Trust Nigerians, he was never encouraged.

I'm sure you were too young then to even watch Newsline talk less of understanding wha was going on then.

Making something and making it to acceptable standard is a different thing. For example, if you see the concrete blocks here you will know that standard is different.

When you make the TV to stand on a table or use eleganza fridge. What happens when you get in accident and the thing fly around or worst your head hit the thing and became big injury?

Theres a reason why bridges constructed by these "contractors" collapse all the time while julius berger own no dey collapse. What im saying here is that theres a science behind just stretching it.

Do you want to make it locally or fit for export? Theres various types of welding too. Welding is not just welding. Yuo have to know what type to use in what area. They are not all the same.

The reason Africa dont export much is that we fail to uphold exportaable statndard when we do things. We like too much short cut. That is not good for business.

A simple question for all.

WHY DO WE ALLOW OUR BEST TO ALWAYS LEAVE OUR SHORES?

HOW DID JAPAN, CHINA, GERMANY ETC DEVELOP? IS IT IN ONE DAY?

An example is the overhead bridge being build in Lagos by an indigenous contractor.
I can tell you their job is getting better as they continue to build more and more of thee bridges.

Where has the principle behind the saying "practice makes perfect" gone?

Is there a standard in Nigeria when it comes to automobile? cos if there is, i am sure most of the Molues on the road will not be, some of the taxis will be pounded, cos i have seen some taxi on Nigerian roads, where you can see the paved road from the car floor.
Anyhow, i am so sure with some tech in place and standard, i ams ure it is possible.

Nigeria dont have what it takes to develop talents in people.
Nigeria just dont care, as long as they have money to waste on importing everything, they dont wanna worry abt inventing.
Practice make perfection, dont exist in Nigeria.
