This is a first in Nigeria, perhaps in the world. From a Facebook Scrabble group: Nigeria Scrabble Friends a Nationally rated Scrabble competition was born. Absolutely magical!! No one thought it could ever happen but, it is almost seeing the light of day. DATES: JUNE 13 AND 14TH VENUE: INDICES HOTEL AND SUITES, ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE CATEGORIES: MASTERS (truly Pro), INTERMEDIATE and OPENS (available to all comers, first timers and wannabes) PRIZES: Trophies and handsome cash across all categories and Best Female player. Special Prize for the best performing first timer It promises to be great fun and it will be great to see Scrabble interest demonstrated on Nairaland. This is Shegetz and I shall be playing.
