Find below the allocation to some organizations in the 2015 FG Budget:
• University of Ibadan - N13.1 bn
• University of Lagos- N10.93 bn
• University of Nigeria Nsukka - N12.77 bn
• Ahmadu Bello University - N14.43 bn
• Obafemi Awolowo University -N10.6 bn
• University of Otuoke - N2.27 bn
• The National assembly - N115 bn
(Data Source: @BudgITng)
And you wonder why out Universities aren’t working?
And you wonder why the NASS ( with about 5, 000 staff and less than 1, 000 legislators) gets about twice more allocation that UI, Unilag, UNN, ABU and OAU combined?
It’s just callous for our budgetary system to allow for this. Its connivance for citizens to be silent on this.
Thanks
