Four-month blackout in Oshodi

Since October 31, 2008, residents of Igbehinadun and Alade streets in Oshodi area of Lagos State have been in total blackout.

We resorted to self-generated power for this period running into four months now.

Needless to say, it is quite dangerous and expensive, considering the global economic crisis and its effects on the nation’s economy and our individual pockets.

I appeal to the authorities of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, Oshodi Undertaking, to kindly do something fast in order to rescue us from this ugly situation.

The suffering is rather unbearable.

Melody Ify,

Oshodi, Lagos.
