This Article is written by Nnadi Goodluck Donhacklord Diezani Alison-Madueke was born on 6th December, 1960 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. She is a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Howard University, USA) and Master’s in Business Administration, MBA (Cambridge University, UK). She was appointed Minister for Petroleum Resources of Nigeria on the 6th of April 2010 when Former President, Goodluck Jonathan was still the Acting President. Alison-Madueke has been in the Petroleum Resources Ministry for a resounding five years. She is a former Transport Minister and also Mines and Steel Development Minister. The emergence of Mrs. Alison-Madueke as the OPEC President was due to her being Nigerians Minister of Petroleum Resources.
