Hi folks, I'm a bachelor in my mid twenties. I live alone (besides the occasional visits from my girlfriend, which are about to become much less frequent, don't ask me why) in a two bedroom flat. I love animals, and i think that I'm mature enough to take care of a pet. I'm kind of confused though, about which animal to get. •dogs are wonderful and loyal and playful, but I don't have the space to raise a dog, nor the time for potty-training or poop-scooping. •cats are much easier to maintain due to their size and instinctive hygiene, but then this is Africa, and everybody is superstitious. Plus my girlfriend HATES them (but then she hates a lot of things, so....meh  ...don't tell her I said that  )•i've also considered a tortoise, guinea-pig and parrot, but they're not very readily available here in Anambra State. Cats too. So that's my dilemma, in a nutshell. I'd like your ideas, and contacts of pet dealers in and around Anambra. Cheers. |

elobyobi:abt d size of the dog, its nt upto a small chair.. they are smallish in size.. they only increase in their length... thats all I can tell u abt d dog.. bt if u dont wanna get a dog as a pet, u can get a tilapia fish from any river, maybe ur village's river... fish dont consume space, just dy put water insyd d bowl... 1 Like |

Tortoise are good, altho nothing close. To companionship. An aquarium would be fit also...with a couple of goldfishes that cost less than a thousand naira. Im making a home for mytortoise, I'll post videos soon. And btw, rabbits are cool too...same as parrots. |
